I felt that I had to give this product a rating because it's saved my life many a time. Sadly, I'm not sure it's still around. I've found it in a few Superdrugs lately but it's been in the bargain bin at half price! Half my luck - I'd have paid £100 to remove my freaky bright red hair but I only had to pay £2.49! i have recently used viva on to darken my hair, on the understanding that i would be able to purchase the 'off' lotion, if it was unsuitable and thought this was an excellent way of trial and error, however after searching two towns i havent been unable to remove my hair colour, (which iam not relived about in the slightest, although its a nice warm colour, it doesnt suit me!). ...After years of frustratingly searching for a colouring product which worked well with my red hair, I have finally found it in the Wella Viva On/Off System. Fellow redheads will know how annoying it is to be faced with product upon product mentioning no suitability at all to red heads. After deciding to try the on/off system, I chose the mahogany colour and went for it. After a surprisingly easy application with no mess, I couldnt beleive the end results. The finished colour was lovely and really suited me, it wasnt too dark and the coverage was even. Another noticeable feature was the lovely smell the lotion had, very nice in comparison to some of the other colouring products on the market. Although semi-permanent, this product works wonders for redheads and can be removed very easily without any damage to hair.... Read review

And I bet I’m also not the only one that is too scared to dye it in case it all goes horribly wrong. Imagine how delighted I was to discover the Viva long lasting On/Off system by Wella. Basically this is your standard semi-permanent hair dye which claims to last for up to twenty shampoos. However, the makers state that the colour is reversible as you can purchase a special remover to restore your hair colour back to normal. I first purchased this system in Boots last year when they had an offer whereby you bought the colour and got the remover free.
