Advantages: Stunning apartments, very clean, good price, very central Disadvantages: Nothing!
I love Manchester, and used to go quite regularly. Unfortunately money is tight so I don't get as many nights out down there as I used. When I do get down, I like to make the most of it.
Last time I was in Manchester, we stayed at The Northern Quarter Apartments.
The Northern Quarter
The Northern Quarter of Manchester consists of High Street and the 'original Northern Quarter' on Oldham Street, which is slightly North of the Arndale Centre and Piccadilly Gardens in the centre of Manchester. There are loads of funky little boutique shops, which are amazing for vintage clothes. There are plenty of coffee shops ( the one next to Pop is quite relaxed and cool) and small sandwiches shops and eateries. The nightlife in the Northern Quarter includes bars like Dry Bar which used to be owned by New Order, the "modern burlesque" club Mint ...
TY Beanies are adorable, there is no wonder my friends and I were cray for these little soft toys! The TY beanies came in all sorts of varieties, whether animal or bear. They each had their own special name, and between us, my friends and I owned and could name pretty much every one going!
One of the teddies is a bear, though not in the TY Beanie Bears option. He is actually an animal bear as opposed to a teddy bear. This little bear is called Almond, because of his pale beige like colourings I can only imagine. He sits on his backside, four paws resting softly on the ground. His little round face is hearth melting, with beady black eyes and a a little button nose, and thread mouth.
The teddy is very soft to the touch. If you give his little paws a gentle squeee you will find there are little beads inside him as well as in his bum area ...
Advantages: Every wacky thing you will possibly ever need will be found here Disadvantages: Known to be rough, but isn't at all!
The Northern Quarter is possibly the best bit of Manchester that I can think of. It is the most colourful, most creative area, and it's inspiring and happy just to wander around in. I'll give you a rough guide to what shops are where, and some of my most favourite places ever!
