Disadvantages Needs to be plugged into a wall socket for power
I bought my Western Digital 1TB External Hard-drive because of the thousands of pictures i have taken over the years, i filled my laptop to the rim with pictures and videos and decided i should find a way to remove them and place them onto something bigger and more portable.I chose Western Digital because my dad has one of their 250GB hard drives which i found was sturdy and had quick download speeds. It also looked good.
This product fits and exceeds my needs, the price for 1TB was unbeatable, i never knew that amount of storage would become this cheap so quickly... It was a great surprise when i managed to find one for only £55!! I am very pleased with my choice, and glad i chose the 1TB version as i have already filled it a quater of the way and ot should be just right and last me for a few more years to come and allow me to carry on filling it with my work.It is of a good size but the only problem, but which is probably the same with most big hard-drives, is that it needs to be plugged into a wall socket, unlike my dads 250GB which used the power of the laptop. This makes it slightly less portable and you always need to find somewhere with two free double plug sockets for the laptop and the drive.
