Advantages: It's Miike, making a Japanese Western! Disadvantages: The dialogue sounds amateurish.
Yikes. I used to be a Takashi Miike fan, until I watched this film that is. What can I say? The film is a mess. The story and the way that it unfolds, is all over the place, and Tarantino's performance is awful. Now I might have been able to forgive all of that, call it a 'genre piece'. Heck, Miike had the look of the film down pat. A Japanese western, very novel. The thing is I just couldn't (and still can't) forgive the fact that the Japanese actors ... ...film for me in two ways:
1. I love Japanese cinema, I'd much rather hear the actors speaking their first language to be honest. Sue me.
2. Even if I looked past that fact, these particular actors seem pretty 'uncomfortable' speaking English. That may even be an understatement. This second point absolutely ruins the picture for me. It throws me out of the ex perience, and leaves a very bad taste in the mouth. That's all there is to say. Never mind ...

Advantages: Great entertainment. Disadvantages: Too addictive!
...previously only flicked over to Deadwood when it was on the TV be it waiting for something else to start or during breaks I had obviously struggled to pick up what was going on. However after buying season 1 (for £15-bargain!) I found myself asking why I had been so stupid as not to have watched any of the 3 season run previously!

Advantages: Shoot out scenes Disadvantages: Not a great role for Russell Crowe
...be expected from the western 3:10 to Yuma with such actors as Russell Crowe(such films as Gladiator) and Christian Bale(Batman) however after the successfulness of James Mangold Walk the Line, this film has failed to provide a adequate supply of the thrilling scenes which Westerns have come to give us. A un-realistic close bond which is created between these unfamiliar foes, which blossoms throughout the film at least adds something different to ... ...and mouse chase between Russell Crowe's gang and Christian Bale, make out for a ending which was to be expected by many of the viewers, after both actors successfulness, this film is a step back in their amazing line up to films in which they have acted and will hope to forget and move on. ...
