The Searchers is widely recognised as one of the best westerns ever made and rightly so. It is set in Texas in 1868 at the end of the Civil War, A war that John Wayne Known in the film as Ethan Edwards took part in, the Film opens with him returning to his brothers farm from the war. IF YOU LIKE JOHN WAYNE FILMS OR WESTERNS THIS IS A GREAT FILM TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION. True Grit is one of the more well know John Wayne films, this is actually one which I have heard of!!! For the second night running my husband got me to sit through one of his films, hope he does not think this is going to be a regular thing as it would take months to get through his collection.
