Id like to tell you about the Wharfedale 32 in HD ready LC Tv

i purchased mine in october of 2006 for the price of £549.99 from argos which was on sale at the time and was really excited at the fact i could finally afford an up to date tv... before i purchased this i always owned second hand or ex display or ex rental televisions, so to have a brand new LCD tv was an accomplishment!

a few features of this televison are:

the instalation couldnt have been any easier!
you even got free wall brackets if you wanted it mounted onto a wall, but i opted for it to be on a normal stand all i had to do was plug in, attach my DVD player and Digital tv scart leads into the back turn it on and follow the step by step instructions on the screen!

Both my partner and myself were delighted with it!
everything was fine until on the 6 month of owning it the screen went funny! the picture was fine all apart from a green crazing( is what best describes it ) over the screen...
i telephoned argos because thankfully were were still under garentee who then put me to the faults department who talked me through what they thought was a small problem of 'desturbance' they asked me several question to see if anything was disturbing the tv ....

was it near a radiator?
what kind of digital tv i had ?
was it sat near a telephone connection?

it was none of the above!
i was then told that i had to have an engineer to come and look at it!
the engineer came and told me it would have to be taken away...he explained that inside there is a small wire that correspondes with the screen its self and on most of the budget tvs like this one the oftan burn out causing the problem that had occured in mine...the only other problem was that these small wires were very hard to come by .... my tv had to be taken away and not returned for 2 weeks...the problem was repaired and touch wood i havnt had a problem since.
apart from my little mishap id say that for the money i paid for my tv compared to others on the market its a great tv but you really have to ask yourself is budget best to buy?
all i will say is insurance is a good thing to have when you buy something like this!
