Advantages: Cheap, good selection Disadvantages: only available at Tesco
...I have used a Wharfedale 750 for a year now and have found it at £179.99 from Tesco's a great multi region DVD Player, I now purchase Region 1 movies from the USA just as they are coming out here sometimes even before they are here and play them on this player 9/10 without problem. When I have had problems I usually hunt out a solution on the web it, and by pressing some keys on the remote it is possible to get the movie playing. If you are interested in how to setup the Wharfedale to play region 1 and fixes for the bugs on some disks try the site below.

This player has some very good features including DTS and it will even play audio CD's when you just want to listen to music....

Advantages: Great sound at a low price Disadvantages: None at this price.
...--FOR STARTERS--
The wharfedale daimond 8.3s are floorstanding speakers which may interest many people who are quite serious about hifi, but don't have a never ending budget.
They'll set you back £200 at the full retail price but I've personaly seen them as low as £80.
First off, these speakers represent outstanding value for money. They are very well built, attractive with kevlar (a type of woven material) drivers and a silk dome tweeter (usualy found on more expensive speakers).
'You can easy enough find pictures of them on the web'.
--THE SOUND--
However, The reason I rate them so high is the sound quality. I'm quite a hifi fanatic and I've auditioned many speakers of all sorts of prices and magazine ratings, so have faith in me.
These speakers are made from unsualy expensive components which makes them a steal...

...As seen in TESCO here is about as full a review of the two machines as I can get.
DVD 750 - Available in most large Tesco stores, cost £179.
There are three diffrent versions of this player but most on sale are the newwer chipsets and these have got over the original problems the player had with certain region 1 and 2 discs (more info at the wharfedale website www.wharfedale.co.uk).
This player is indeed one of the best 'budget' DVD's I have seen so far, although there is a DVD 750S too which Tesco are
selling for the same price..... read on
DVD 750s - Available at some Tesco stores (bundled in piles with the standard 750) and at time of writing are available at TESCO.COM
The latest version of the 750 (ie the S) is everything the 750 wasnt! Wharfedale have listened to the public and Tesco and brought out an excellent machine...

I was very impressed with these speakers, although should point out that I'm far from an audio expert. But the sound was extremely clear and well-defined, which is all I wanted (my previous speakers, Q Acoustics 1010s, were slightly muddy and... more
I bought a Nintendo DS Lite that came with 20 games including Pokemon Diamond. I had been playing Pokemon Silver on my gameboy only a few weeks ago so I was instantly struck by the improved graphics of the Nintendo, and the fun touch screen.
