I recieved this as a present at christmas in 2007. I used it many times in the car, when i went away camping with my fiancee to watch dvds. It come in a bright blue box, well packaged with the remote control and two batteries which were supplied. The dvd player itself and the rechargeable Li-Polymer battery which can be taken on and off. It also comes with an Ac adaptor. The Size of the player is (H)3.5, (W)26.7, (D)20.6cm and Weight of it is light weighing only 1.1kg. The dvd player supports the reading of Region 2 dvds.
This dvd player has a screen which turns round a full 180 degrees one way only, and then can fold back down on itself so the screen is on the outside. Its very handy for watching in the car on a rainy day as it can fit on the dashboard of a car. It has a screen size is 8.9in (22.5cm) visible LCD TFT and plays cd's and dvd's. This is CDR, CDRW, DVDR, DVDRW playback compatible but we never tried to copy dvd's or cd's. It has a USB socket.Card reader - compatible with MS, MMC and SD cards so it allows you to copy and rewrite cd's and dvd's.
The screen resolution 640 x 234 pixels and has a brightness of up to 250cd/m2. This is adjustable using the menu on the dvd player or using the remote control. The Contrast ratio 450:1 which is also adjustable. Battery life during playback is 2 hours.
I have had problems with this player though. It was bought in Argos at the cost of around £100. You can buy them now for arond £75 at some online internet shops. The 1st one that i had i played about 10 dvds on it in the car and then when you next put a dvd in it, the cd would spin around and not play. I did everything as normal so i asked mum for the reciept and took it back to argos without much to fill in and a simple explanation they just simply handed me another one. Even though all the contents were not in the box. I took this back within the argos guarantee of a year but of which it only lasted a couple of months so ended up taking this back feb 2008. The one im on now which is the exchanged one has just gone wrong on me again. The screen wont turn on and now the reciept is out of its guarantee by only a few months. So once saved up i wil be buying something else but better. But i do certainly recommend one with a swivel screen as its so easy to use and prtable.
