To call What Car? a magazine seems a little unfair - it is in fact a giant tome of motoring statistics published monthly. As a car buyers guide it has reasonable coverage fo the months new entrants to the UK car market, and three or four road tests or group tests along with a couple of features on safety or car security etc. The strenght of this magazine is its impressivly in depth and well laid out facts and figures listing. Every new car is listed detailing price, equipment, performance and economy. The databse of information is vast and accurate. However much of the detail is unchanged month to month so the regular purchase seems expensive at over £3 a copy. This magazine serves as a good reference for someone looking to purchase a new car who wants background before vising the showrooms or as a bi-annual purchase for the car buff,
