Blood, Ski's and Trees

Advantages An amusing experience
Disadvantages Not enjoyable; trees are hard to dispose of at the bottom of a mountain
I had passed worry number 1; that my ski pass would for some reason not work. I was now onto worry number 2; failure to get on the ski lift, butterflies knotted my stomach into a twisted mess as I stood in the queue, 1,2,3 and it was over. I sat clutching tightly to the edge of my seat conscious of worry number 3; falling off the ski lift; however this was replaced with a monstrosity even I had failed to imagine!
Blood leaked out of my nose falling like a dripping tap and staining the pure white snow crimson. ‘Stick some tissues in your nose’ my brother suggested ‘tip your head back’ advised his friend, to this I could only glare, everyone knows that’s the worst thing you can do. By now the lift had reached the top of the hill and I had no choice but to get off. I closed my eyes as I prepared for an embarrassing encounter with the ground, but I was alright. As if the worries of the ski lift weren’t bad enough I now actually had to commit the act of skiing, this could only go badly. At a slow pace I set off my ski’s wide in snow plough however this ‘boldness’ did not pay off as I still lost control of my feet. I scrabbled about for anything to keep my balance eventually my hands found a small tree, this still was not enough, the tree parted easily with the ground and I was now an out of control lunatic falling down a mountain with a baby tree clutched to my chest in a sea of blood. Typical!

I managed to get down the icy terrain safely eventually - my thighs were throbbing as I was in plough all the way! I don't think I'm a naturally gifted skier - it must be exhilarating to be able to do it well x
