Right, I have just seen a fantastic review for this and thought to myself...let's give this one a go!
It's a new challenge at the end of the day!
First off...
THE BAG...I've decided to go for the one I use whilst I'm at work and when I'm out shopping and whenever I can't be bothered to take my stuff from one bag and put it in to another. Seems as I know have 18 of the things...I only know this as I sorted my wardrobe out a few days ago and thought I'd count them before I put them back in!
I bought my handbag about a year ago from Dorothy Perkins. It is quite a simple bag really, plain, black, stylish. It has a small inside pocket and a detachable fob on the handle. The stiching is picked out in cream.
It is just the right size for fitting everything I need for work in it...and a whole lot more as I realised once I started pulling things out of it.
The first thing I came across was my mobile phone (Panasonic x70) complete with a message from the fella...telling me his hours for today! Bless...at least he told me without me having to ask...
Next I've pulled my pocket 2005 (classic pooh bear) diary out of there. It has lots of negatives in the back of here as I want to get them reprinted in town...but I keep forgetting to take them.
Ohhh...I've got half a packet of Trebor Spearmint Softmints in there! I didn't even realise I had them...I thought I'd eaten them all!
I am trying to quit smoking at the moment so I like to keep a few mints here and there (and everywhere else) in case I get one of those nasty cravings. Might have to have a munch on those later!
Next on my list is a shopping list I made before Christmas I think -
- Washing up liquid
- Lemon Juice
- Dishcloths
- Bread
- Milk
Not a very interesting one I must admit...but these things need to be done! If I don't write them down I usually end up forgetting them. Must of done this list at work as it's written on a yellow post-it note! Think I will bin this now...otherwise it will end up getting thrown back in.
More food...well chewing gum anyway. Another thing that helps me with those pesky cravings! I'm surprised I don't look like a balloon - but at least it's sugar free!
My Boots Advantage Card is next. I usually keep this in my purse but I must of just thrown it in my bag last time I used it.
My purse...will but that card in now.
I love my purse...it is a white Louis Vuitton one with the LV logo on it in different colours. My boyfriend bought it for me as I had my eye on it for weeks and needed to save up for it! But now it lives in my handbag...no matter which one I decide to use.
In my purse I have my bank cards, my driver's licence, my Matalan card (I only got this as I saw a gorgeous belt in there when I went in with a workmate...not used it since!), a card you get with bunches of flowers from my boyfriend (from the first ever bunch he got me!),
My cheque book is next in the queue of items to try and make a bid for freedom. I keep this in here just in case I owe anyone money! It's easier to write them a cheque before payday!
It's also handy when it's a few days before payday and I've got no cash left to shop.
I also have my paying in book for my Halifax ISA account. I really need to start paying into this again as it's a bit on the low side...as are most people's accounts after Christmas!
Pills...my handbag is like a portable chemist. There's Paracetamol and Codeine caplets from Boots for when I get my headaches.
There's Nurofen...also for when I get my headaches, I had to buy these as Boots was closed and Asda was my only other choice of getting something to cure my headache.
There's my anti-baby pills! Always in there in case I forget to take them!
I've got some Boots Dental Pain Relief tablets in here. I had an abscess on my gum a few weeks ago. The doctor said it was because my gum was coming away from my tooth at the back which had caused an infection. They gave me antibiotics and said continue taking painkillers until the pain had fully disappeared. Thought I'd get some advice from the lady at Boots and apparently these were the best thing I could buy over the counter as it has a painkiller in it that the dentists use. And they worked!!
I also have a nail file in my bag...for when my nails decide to break, which in our lovely cold winters they tend to do it quite a lot! Oh how I long for stronger nails...
There is a small make-up bag from Bourjois in my handbag too.
In it I have a Coup-de-Theatre mascara...I swear by this mascara and won't go anywhere without it. It is a must have for any make-up bag.
There is a Maybelline eyeliner in black and in blue...I always keep these in here in case I decide to go straight out after work.
Elizabeth Arden's eight hour cream...I like my expensive lotions and potions. I love this cream as it is very multi-functional and I can always find a reason to use it.
A Clinique glosswear lipgloss in "Airkiss". This was a trail size that I bought a few months ago and I so want to buy the full sized one. Maybe when payday comes around...
There are a couple of eyeshadows from No.7 and Maybelline.
I also have some facepower (Collection 2000 as I was on a very very very tight budget at the time and it does cover up well really!)
And last but not least...there is some Vaseline Intensive Care Hand and Nail cream in there too.
Wow...all that in a bag within my handbag!!
I have just found some Stepsils in my bag...these were from before Christmas when I got a really bad throat...just in time for the party season!
I've also got some peach and raspberry Halls Soothers there too...for the same reason.
I have my boyfriend's pool club membership card in here as well! Not that I'm tempted to use it! Although I do enjoy the odd game of American 9 Ball.
I have two sets of keys. I have my house keys...front and back...with a keyrings of Betty Boop, Winnie the Pooh and one that the taxi company I use a lot gave me with their phone number on...even though I've rang them that many times in the past I doubt I will ever forget it.
I also have my work keys...for the two front doors at work.
There are keyrings of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger on this set. Oh, and a Citroen keyring my dad gave me for some reason!
Time to open the little pocket within the lining of the bag...
In here I have found two nicotine patches...I only bought some more on Monday as I thought I had ran out! Never mind...they will come in use.
I also have some Freshmint Nicotine Gum which my mum gave me to help me stop smoking.
I've also found three earrings...must of lost the forth one!
There is my old Zipper lighter...I do not want to part with this lighter as it was a present from my boyfriend. I should really take it out of my bag though...so I'm not tempted into using it again.
There is a packet of Wild Berry Smints in there too. I only got these a couple of days ago as I wanted to see what they were like. I haven’t even opened them yet!
Last but not least I have a bunch of business cards from here, there and everywhere. They are from when I was joining recruitment agencies ages ago. Thought I'd put them somewhere safe in case I ever needed them again. I'm quite happy in my job now though...so I don't think I will be needing them. Better move those as well I suppose.Well...that's all there is in my handbag...ever though it's more like a rucksack!
Hope you all enjoyed being nosey...I think I will go and sort the rubbish out now as it's all over my desk!
A friend recommended "crafe away" to aid in giving up smoking (not for me - for my son) as her friend gave up in January on just the "crafe away" cigarette (£1.68 at ASDA - RRP £1.99) and is still Nicotine-free!... - ♥ - jes ≈≈≈≈{; -)-{{::::: |||||<</html>
