As the sun sets... Porthtowan Beach, Cornwall
Advantages Watch the sun go down with a beer
Disadvantages None watsoever.
The entire Cornish coastline holds some of the most majestic views anywhere in the UK. It has also some of the most enchanting cliffs that hold years of history within their caves and in the cute tin mines that line the horizon. Its no wonder that Cornwall is so popular with holiday makers.
My favourite view has to be from Porthtowan beach where there is a fantastic beachside bar/restaurant where you can sit outside and watch the sun go down. You're very lucky to see a full sunset in Cornwall as the Atlantic sea can bring in cloud and mist as the day draws in, but i have been priviledged to have seen three there in the last two years. The clear skies play host to a beautiful orange and red glow over the soft sands as the last surfers of the day soak up the final rays. Stunning.

chuckle... short and sweet. But have you ever been to South Shields *chuckle*? If you felt the need to improve the review at all, I would advise adding further information about this coastline... maybe also what you can see looking outwards... ships, gas rigs... that sort of thing... maybe any history that makes this spot particularly prestigious. But otherwise, well done. Pete
