...I am writing this complaint as a last resort after many hours and money spent trying to resolve this situation. We installed Whirlpool appliance model # RBD275PDS14 (double wall oven) with serial number XR4311868 3 years ago. The following is a chronological list by date of what had transpired regarding our earnest attempts to have our oven repaired. Saturday June 2, 2007: Upper oven was in use at a temperature of 250 degrees. The upper oven outer glass shattered. Friday, June 9, 2007: Called Whirlpool Customer Service @ 1-800-253-1301, and was told that I needed replacement part # 9759072. Part was ordered with order number 1-285635706 at a cost of $105.82. Advantages: Push button...compared to dials
Disadvantages: Whirlpool maintenance men could take a while to fix it

...I actually recieved my Whirlpool Gas Range as an early Christmas gift last year. My soon to be father in law and I had went and looked at Gas Ranges the previous day (Keeping in mind...I didn't know he was going to buy one for me...and of coarse I pointed out almost the most expensive one they had!). Well he must not have minded because I woke up the next morning and the guys were taking it out of their truck and into my home! I have wanted a brand new Whirpool with the push buttons (instead of the old dials) for about two years now! I finally have one. Disadvantages: Caused Damage, Didn't Return Calls, Atitude was Tough.

...A while ago, we purchased a new washing machine and dishwasher made by Whirlpool. We decided to take out a 10-year parts guarantee with them and when we purchased them from Comet we took out a 5-year labour guarantee. We have had a number of fairly minor faults over time where we have had to have engineers out to fix the fault and had never had a problem until the last time. Lets give you a bit of history first that will explain why I am so frustrated, A short while ago we had a burst water pipe in our kitchen, when the plumber was moving the washing machine to get to the pipe, he ripped the lino, he explained that as the lino was wet it ripped easily, but not to worry as the household insurance would cover it. On this occasion as there was water everywhere I had no problems calling my household insurers and they had no problems... Read review
