General comments.
I'm a fan of Whirlpool products and this is no exception. We paid £156-00 (excluding delivery) from Sainsbury's.
It arrived well packaged, and after letting it settle after transport and turing it on, it was quickly at a nice cool temperature.
It has Auto Defrost facility (as you would expect with most fridges today) but one nice little touch is the lips on the glass ...
Advantages: It's white Disadvantages: Rip off cost of spares
Had the WhirlpoolARC 5573 fridge freezer about 20 months. Been OK until I noticed the freezer was starting to frost up. Became so bad that door barely closed. Upon examination I noticed that the door seal had a long split along the top. Telephoned Whirlpool who offered me an engineering call-out. £90 plus VAT plus cost of parts. Checked out price of seal, another £90. So that's about £200 in total to change a door seal on a £280 appliance that was not quite 2 years old. Hmmm!!
Oh, and by the way, Whirlpool offered me a monthly maintenance plan at about £25 a month which fom memory entitled me to a free call out with only the cost of parts payable by me. So if my maths are right that's £300 plus the £90 odd for the seal.
Are you getting my drift?
I will NEVER buy a Whirlpool product again. ...
