...all of the time is Whiskas Oh So Fishy pouches. They come in a pack of 12 85g pouches for around £4.
Each pouch contains one meal for one cat, so I can't afford to give them these all the time, but I like to always have some in and give them as an occasional treat or when they decide they don't like their current food. This Fishy selection has 3 tuna, 3 sardine, 3 salmon and 3 cod flavour pouches. It's a good idea to gently squeeze all the contents down in the pouch away from the opening before you open it, otherwise you can end up with the food getting everywhere. They open really easily and you can then just squeeze the food out into the cat's bowl.

I have 3 cats - 1 is 14, 1 is 6, and 1 is just over a year old. All of them are fussy little things and I have to change their food on a regular basis to keep them happy because they quickly get bored of the same ones, and also the 14 year old has a tendancy to throw up with some brands of food but not others, so I have to be careful what I give him. The only food I've found so far that they all like all of the time is Whiskas Oh So Fishy pouches.
They are all made with whole pieces of real fish.
The pouches are made of foil and have a little nick in the side which you use to tear the top off. It's a good idea to gently squeeze all the contents down in the pouch away from the opening before you open it, otherwise you can end up with the food getting everywhere. They open really easily and you can then just squeeze the food out into the cat's bowl.
When you open the pouches the first thing you'll notice is how strong they smell. They are much worse than most cat foods, but you would expect this with them having real pieces of fish in them. So you may want to feed the cats somewhere where you're not going to be able to smell it all day as it does linger. You can see the pieces of fish in the food, and they are quite nice big pieces. The gravy that they're in is much lighter in colour than on most cat foods, and the texture is a bit thicker, but my cats seem to prefer it to others.
Looking at the ingredients you will see that each pouch has a minimum of 14% whole pieces of fish, but the ones that I've had seem to all have a lot more fish in than that. The other ingredients are meat and meat derivatives, fish derivatives, and minerals. So there's not a load of junk chucked in for no reason, they're actually quite a natural food.
As an example of the nutrition these will give your cat, the tuna pouch is made up of 12% protein, 4% oil, 2% ash, 0.3% fibre, 81% moisture, and there is 8mg Vitamin E per kg.
But of course the most important thing is, my cats love it. All 3 of them wolf this down as though they haven't eaten in weeks every time I give it to them, and they never get tired of it. Often with other variety packs I find there'll be one or 2 flavours that they don't like, but they like all of these. And the other major plus point for me is that they don't cause my 14 year old cat to throw up. So, I'd really recommend these, not as an everyday food as they're far too expensive unless you're rich, but as an occasional treat that your cat will love.
Advantages: None that I can think of Disadvantages: Expensive and the cat's don't like it
I was quite familiar with the Iams dry range - my cat's quite like this to nibble on during the day whilst I am out at work, so when I saw these pouches on offer at the same price as their favourite WhiskasOHSo Fishy, I thought that I would give this a try.
********************What is in a pack**********************
In the Adult 1+ pack you get 12 x 100g pouches - 6 rich in chicken, and 6 with beef. Both flavours are in gravy.
The manufacturers claim that there are no preservatives or flavourings added.
Ingredients in the chicken variety:
Meat and animal derivatives (>14% chicken),oils and fats, derivatives of vegetable origin, minerals and various sugars -
Sounds delicious - not. Where is the real meat and vegetables? I have visions of machines reclaiming scraps from bones and processing potato peelings ...

FELIX AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS....SUCCULENT STEAKLETS
As you can see from Grotty's account I have at last managed to wean her off her addiction to WhiskasOhso fishy with Felix's premium pouches. So here goes with the review.
PACKAGING.............
The package is the standard cuboid shape with a picture of a tasty looking bowl of cat food. There is an easy tear stripalong the top of the box which rips easily. Not so good for lazy people like me as you have to take the pouches out from the top of the box so I need to take the box out of my cupboard to extract the pouches.
There is information about the contents of the pouches, and contact details for Purina who manufacture this product.
There are 12 pouches in a box.
The pouches themselves are standard size and open easily with little notches either side to show you where ...

Advantages: Cleanest bowls ever Disadvantages: Costs a packet and now they won't eat anything else!
This is not a review of Whiskas products in general, but specifically of 'Ohso fishy' pouches.
With two geriatric, fussy cats sometimes buying a food that they enjoy can be a bit of a problem and in the summer their left over food becomes smelly and attracts flies - not pleasant to come home to at all. You can imagine my delight at finding a food that they enjoy so much that within seconds there is not a trace of it left in their bowls.
