Heaven in a bottle!! Ogio Pinot Grigio

Advantages: great taste, light, refreshing and fruity
Disadvantages: bit pricey so hunt for offers!!

Another great find at my local Tesco store. Again I brought my first bottle when it was on offer and had to dash back the next morning to stock up!!! At about £8 per bottle its usually out of my price range so half price made it seem appealing. It's a light fruity easy drink, great for the summer months when bottle is chilled!! I found the only downside (apart from a hangover the next day!) it that it is too drinkable. Its not got a strong taste ...

Stowells Pinot Grigio

Advantages: excellent value for money and fantastic taste!!!
Disadvantages: nothing major although a screw top could be handy.

Stowells Pinot Grigio Chardonnay is an excellent bottle of wine which offers both fabulous taste and excellent value for money. Pinot Grigio is by far my favourite type of wine from the large range of Stowells wines available and this one is made in Italy. This wine is 12% in strength which is about average for a bottle of white wine. FLAVOUR This wine is a really full flavoured one with a strong fragrance and fruity taste that stays in your mouth ...
...is classic and a typical stowells design, all of the bottles in the stowells range share the same labelling style making it easy to distinguish from other brands. The colour scheme is black and cream with hints of gold adding to the classy understated look which makes the product look appealing as it looks like it is of a high quality and certainly doesnt look like it cost less than four pounds a bottle. RECOMMEND TO POTENTIAL BUYERS ??? I would ...

Linotti Pinot Grigio..wow what a find in tesco!!!

Advantages: light, refreshing, fruity little number
Disadvantages: pricey but worth it

I decided to purchase this wine only due to the fact it was half price in Tesco the other week. What a find...i'm in love with a bottle of wine!!!! It was so nice I had to go back the following day to stock up on it..and needless to say it didn't last long!! It's so light and fresh without being too sweet or harsh. It has a fruity taste and very drinkable. I won't baffle anyone with techno wine talk as I dont know any all I can say is it is definately ...

A Great White...Sharp!

Advantages: It's another refreshing white wine!
Disadvantages: It could make you drunk eventually!

Bluehill Valley Pinot Grigio Del Veneto I'm always on the lookout for decent wines around the £3.00 mark. I found this one on an odd visit to "Home + Bargains". One of many bargains that I picked up. Size : 750 ml light green bottle Year : 2004 Top : Black plastic covering a real cork inscribed on which are two men carrying grapes on a pole. Strength : 11.5% vol Price : £2.69 Skip this bit if you don't like label descriptions and go to...* ...
...range of hills beneath. Bluehill Valley is beautifully written in a blue script at the very top of the label with what looks to be a design of three palm-fronded umbrellas in a triangle emphasised by a gold line design around them. Under this in large block capitals PINOT GRIGIO DEL VENETO Then under this and just above the photograph "Indicazione Geografica Tipica" in gold title case. Label (Rear) Exactly the same lettering but smaller on ...

P--ssed again

Advantages: Light, Crisp, Dry, Fruity
Disadvantages: Gets you very drunk

...and bought a bottle of Connubio Pinot Grigio for £4.29. It's very hard to describe the taste of wine, but to me Pinot Grigio tastes of apples, gooseberries and lemons. It is very light on the palate, but also very dry. The kind of thing you can easily drink alone or with fish or pasta. It doesn't overpower a dish the way Chardonnay does, but is more of a complimentary taste. If consumed without fish or pasta, it goes straight to your head and produces ...
...(but without the indigestion from that fizz). And when you consider that Champagne starts at about £15 a bottle and Pinot Grigio generally costs between £4 and £7, it’s a bloody bargain and no mistake. Of course you can pay more than that for special vintages, but to the uncultured palate such as mine the age of the wine makes no difference and so you might as well go for the cheaper option. I would say that Pinio Grigio is about a perfect a party ...
