I went on holiday with my wife to Mexico in the middle of october for two weeks last year, we had planned this holiday since we got married three years ago and paid the holiday off over an 18month period which also allowed us time to save for spending money to do all the activities we wanted to do i.e mayan temples, swimming with dolphins and other tourist favourites. The reason we booked for this time of year was a)it was out of the school season, and b) work allocation of holiday meant that i was restricted in what i could have. As you may know (or if you don't know), last year was not the ... more

My husband and 2 children were robbed in Barcelona airport in August. Our bag was stolen by a professional thief in a matter of 2 seconds whilst we were standing beside the car hire desk and the bag was right beside us. White Horse have refused to pay us for the contents of bag, camera, passports etc and furthermore have failed to return paperwork, taken forever to review the process etc. Their modus operandi seems to be one of find whatever reason you can based on as little evidence as possible to 'not pay'. Insuring with them is a pointless waste of money, we have never claimed on insurance ... more

RUBBISH RUBBISH RUBBISH to put it mildly The last day of our 4 day break we had our digital camera stolen. I was most devastated about losing all my photos let alone the camera! To kick me in the teeth even further was when we came to claim from whitehorse. We were covered for personal possessions up to £500, BUT THEY considered the camera to be a VALUABLE which we were not covered for. Basically under their personal possesions list of what is excluded and their valuables list of what is excluded leaves... well pretty much nothing you can claim for. Here is their wording: PERSONAL POSSESSIONS ... more

My wife had a fall while in Switzerland on holiday last year. She felt something 'give' as she fell, but didn't think too much about it. During the day the pain was bearable but was causing problems at night and we decided that some investigation was needed. We went to the local hospital, near Vevey, where xrays showed that she had cracked a rib. The hospital took details from the European Health Insurance card. However, we had to pay for the medication prescribed by the hospital. On returning to the UK, we filed a claim for the cost of the medication. After several weeks, we received a cheque ... more

1 Star Quick review of Whitehorse Insurance by reddevil60 01/12/2008
WHITE HORSE S**IT I'd rather be uninsured then give my money to these people. They only exist to take your money but NEVER, NEVER, pay out. ALWAYS, ALWAYS read their small print because they will get you everytime. I've lost out to the tune of £2,900 and no chance of getting any of the money back. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask but this company robs you blind and gets away with it.
