    If I ever left the United Kingdom, the place I would probably miss the most is Whittard’s. In my humble opinion, there is no other tea company that produces such an extensive and fine selection of delicious teas. As I am a creature of habit, I usually stick to my favorite teas, which happen to be Mango and Earl Grey.     After trying a selection of whittard coffees, with weird and wacky names such as Guatamalan Elephant (made by elephants from real Guatamalans), I decided to play it safe with a plainer sounding tea. For this, Vanilla Tea Bags sounded right up my boulevard. I have always been impressed with the quality and taste of Whittard's coffees, so was looking forward to trying what I had already written off as another high-class Whittard product.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the delicate flavour I was hoping for.

    I bought a box of these teabags after a trip to Paris, where I had some vanilla tea in a wonderful tea shop near the Pompidou Centre. Rather than remind me of my lovely Easter break, it left me with a nasty taste in my mouth. There is very little, if any, taste of vanilla to this tea. It's very insipid really. I found I had to leave it to steep for a very long time, which you shouldn't have to do with black tea. On top of this it also had a slight film to the surface which wasn't very enticing when I came to drink it. I didn't find the teabags expensive, but quite frankly I wouldn't pay any ... more
