Advantages: Colourful, informative guide ideal new comers Disadvantages: may cover basic things for experienced owners
...I own a Caique and an Amazon and purchased this book as the Caique is not a well behaved bird!
I found it useful in basic tips and why and how they behave like they do, from topics like playing with your parrot to disciplining it.
It's a good grounding in parrot ownership, particularly for new owners with maybe young parrots? My Amazon is an old grouch so wasn't much use to him at 25 years old but it has helped with my Caique who is a bit younger and hand reared. He tends to take charge but I have learnt what to do with him from this book.
The pictures are very good and informative and all in all it is a good book although not all sections will be relevant to all birds and their owners!
Stil, I would advise to buy this above others!!!!!!!!...

Advantages: Austerely beautiful and written novel by Fitzgerald Disadvantages: Drags at times, and shifts perspectives too much
...’s instability after the fact; in essence, he not only becomes her husband but also her doctor. To him, she is less a wife and more of a case study, and when Rosemary comes along, it the Diver’s perfect façade is cracked and going to pieces. Dick is enchanted by Rosemary’s youthful innocence and beauty, and begins to look at her as an escape from a marriage where the love has been diminished; I will not reveal what happens in Part III, though I will say it then shifts focus again over to Nicole, and the book does have an ended which is rather unexpected.

Advantages: Has a picture about a parrot Disadvantages: I killed my neighbours parrot because of it
...This is a fabulous book. I don't own it personally, but share it with my neighbours, as they keep parots, which I have to look after.
Well, not anymore....
This book is incredibly confusing, I read it in the belief that it would teach me how to win one of my favourite online games "http://www.freegamesonline.dk/funnygames/insanegames/polly/index.php" Polly the kleptomaniac parrot. I soon discovered stabbing, netting, shooting and encouraging parrot homosexuality was wrong in the real world. Yet still that was too late..
Guide to owning a parrot teaches about how to own your parrot, not how to get the perfect headshot whilst its in mid flight.
I beg of you, learn my lesson and do not buy this book.
However if you want to kill parrots i would reccommend this book...
