I was introduced to Jilly Cooper books not too many years a ago by my Mum. Last year before a holiday I was wandering around Waterstones trying to decide on a holiday book to read when I noticed the latest Jilly Cooper 'Wicked' - which was suprising as i had heard nothing about it coming out. Having recently re-read this book I decided to write a review.
~ Basic Plot ~ Basically the story is of two schools 'Larks' a state comprehensive and 'Bagley' a private school (with fee's). Larks is in the bottom of the league tables and is due for closure when they appoint a new headmistress who throws herself into saving her school and its pupils. Larks joins forces with Bagley causing some very riotious outcomes on various school trips!
~ Characters ~ The book brings forth various characters from previous books, namely Rupert Campbell-Black and his family. Also there are various people from her previouse book Pandora including Lady Belvedon and her children. There is also the introduction of extremely likeable new characters.
~ My Thoughts ~ At 846 pages this is a long read but its totally worth it. you get completly hooked. I throughly enjoyed every minute of this book but on second reading I kept forgetting that the children were so young espically in the activities they underwent! I would recommend it as an extremely good read but only when you have a lot of time to spare as you won't want to put it down!!
