    I'm not really a fan of picture books Since I learned to read many years ago I've been of the opinion that 'books are for reading stuff' rather than 'books are for pictures'. Generally I avoid what are often referred to as ‘Coffee Table Books’ – those large books of artfully-lit photographs that serve to sit around on coffee tables for your guests to browse and think about how clever and cultured you are but serve little other purpose.
