Advantages: An interesting read Disadvantages: A little bit gory in places
The Bone Vault written by Linda Fairstein is the latest book that I have just read. I have not read any of this Author's previous works although I was aware that the predecessor to this novel, the Deadhouse, was an International best seller.
This book fits neatly into the category of crime fiction but the authenticity of how Met Assistant DA Alexandra Cooper handles the crimes in this gripping story is what sets this book apart from many books on a similar theme that I have read. This may have something to do with the fact that the Author of this work, Linda Fairstein is America's foremost prosecutor of crimes, specialising in the area of sexual assault and domestic violence. Advantages: Easy to prepare, vegan, tasty Disadvantages: Not very healthy
I first came across the Linda McCartney vegetarian food range about twelve years ago, when I was an impoverished student. Of course, in those days, ready meals were a bit out of my price range, which meant I usually got them when visiting the hotel of Mummy and Daddy. Now I'm a proper grown up, I still only have them occasionally, but that's more because prepackaged food is far too bad for your health to have every day.

Advantages: Filling and vegetarian Disadvantages: Not good for the diet conscious
This is an opinion close to my heart - junk food. I decided to take the plunge and become a vegetarian in 1985, just before my son was born, and having decided to do so, then panicked about what I would actually eat!
I had tried to be a veggie earlier but due to the difficulty with mixing nuts and grains and keeping my proteins and iron up, I found it was too awful and gave up.
By the mid eighties, there were lots of veggie ready meals in the freezers and it was quite easy to make the change at this point. Findus were quite innovative in the field and kept me fed. Although I love cooking, I live with a faddy lot and also I am strapped for time so proper cooking can only be on days off. Ready meals are a wonder of the modern world.
