    Our Wii Fit was brought as a birthday present for my 9 year old brother, although to be honest it was probably more of a gift to us!! What is a 'Wii Fit'? Before explaining what a Wii Fit is, I will explain the equipment you will need for it. The Wii Fit works on a Nintendo Wii - the Wii is a games console, which uses a handheld remote for interactive play (simulating tennis etc). In addition to the games console you will need a Wii Fit balance board. This can be used with other games such as skiing etc but will initially be purchased with the Wii Fit software. The Wii fit balance board is a ... more

    My boyfriend and I eventually gave in and bought ourselves a Wii about 6 months ago. Then, on my birthday back in May, my parents bought me the Wii Fit. Since then, we have used it most evenings and have had an awful lot of fun using it. What Is A Wii Fit? A Wii Fit is sort of like a fitness game which is used in conjunction with the Wii Games Console. There is the usual disc which you insert into the Wii console and also a 'Balance Board' which is just like a set of weighing scales. You need to stand on the balance board for the various exercises and games that you will take part in. The ... more

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wii Fit ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I've decided to write this review on the Wii Fit as I believe it to be one of the best forms of exercise you can do without leaving the house, how many times do you go to work and say to your colleagues I've been for a jog around the island this morning! As usual they look at you daft and think you've been drinking too many sherbets - Problem is I now have my friends wanting to come around and join me because until they get their own Wii Fit (so many retailers are out of stock) they come to my house and exercise in comfort ... more
    Advantages Advantages Fun way to get fit. Keeps you coming back for the fun exercises.
    Disadvantages Disadvantages The muscle exercises are largely for the legs, not much for the arms. Workout quite fiddly.
    ---Why Exercise?--- Being a couple of stone overweight, I've tried many things for getting fit and losing weight. I've tried books with diet and exercise plans, I've tried fitness dvds, I've also tried the gym and swimming. For quite some time, I cycled to work in an effort to keep fit. I've always been an advocate of exercise if you want to lose weight. You may lose weight very successfully by eating less but I feel it's easier to do more, and then you can have a little of what you fancy instead of making yourself miserable. Also from my research into losing weight, it's better to weigh a ... more
    This would be my latest obsession, and from what I have gathered it is an obsession of many other people around the country...considering that this game has sold out 4 Christmas' running. I first tried the game when a housemate of mine bought it and brought it round to the house, and after that I had to have it...regardless of price. It is just too fun, too addictive and too group orientated not to get...or group competition is probably the best way to describe it.
