The Wii MotionPlus is essential for the Wii Sports Resort game and seems to have been designed for this intitially. So ... ...its use. Whilst the Wii Sports Resort game currently comes with a Wii Motion Plus sensor, you can purchase an additional one for around £18. With this game, it is not essential to have an additional remote or sensor but I would strongly recommend purchasing an additional one if you want to play against your friends and family.

This is an accessory which attaches to your Wii Remote to enhance its motion sensing capabilities. It detects and reproduces your movements in the game, so whether you are playing basketball or doing some archery, every little movement you make is accurately portrayed in the game.
The Wii MotionPlus is essential for the Wii Sports Resort game and seems to have been designed for this intitially. So at the moment there are very few games compatible with the sensor but its introduction means that Nintendo will now be creating games that benefit/rely on its use. Whilst the Wii Sports Resort game currently comes with a Wii Motion Plus sensor, you can purchase an additional one for around £18. With this game, it is not essential to have an additional remote or sensor but I would strongly recommend purchasing an additional one if you want to play against your friends and family.
The Wii Motion Plus is easy to attach to your remote as it literally clips on and comes with an extra long Wii Remote jacket to keep it all safe from knocks and bumps. The sensor has a switch on the back to “lock” it in place. This prevents it coming loose or being knocked off. The bottom of the sensor has the plug hole for attaching accessories such as the Nunchuk which is very useful.
There is a useful instruction video showing you how to attach the Wii Motion Plus and how to re-calibrate it by placing the remote on a flat surface. As the Wii Motion Plus is such a sensitive accessory, you do make sure that you attach the wrist strap as shown (and use it) to prevent the Wii remote flying through the air and hitting something (or someone!) as this could damage it.
When attached to the Wii remote, the sensor doesn’t feel too bulky or heavy. It certainly does increase the sensitivity of the remote and enhances game play accordingly. I assume that at some point Nintendo will update the standard Wii Remote so that it includes this extra sensor, but for now this is the only option. It isn’t cheap but is well designed and works well.
Advantages: people go "wow" when they hear you have one. Disadvantages: Does not help as you would expect.
...I always found the original Wii remote ok for games. I can't see why games system manufacturers keep making things "better" after we have bought the original.
Anyway. it can be tricky useing a Wii remote and although the motion plus does make it more responsive at times it can be too much. when you want to be very accurate and the slightest twitch sends the little pointing finger shooting off the screen.
Not what I would call value for money then. ... ...goes in to the main wii remote is very wobbily, i took mine back to the shop to complain but I was told this in normal.
It will come with a new rubber case for it as it not fit in your original one. However if you also own a wii remote docking station for charging the batteries then you will have to remove the case and the Motion Plus every time you want to charge them. A total pain in the backside. ...

Advantages: Greatly improves the precision of the Wii Remote. Disadvantages: Not many games support it yet.
The Wii MotionPlus adapter plugs in to the bottom of the Wii Remote to offer 1:1 accuracy for the motion control. The adapter comes packaged with a silicon skin that is long enough to cover the Wii Remote with the MotionPlus adapter plugged in. There is a switch on the back that locks it in to place and a slot on the bottom to plug in another accessory like the nunchuck so you don't need to remove the adapter once it is attached, even when playing ... ...want to have multiplayer on Wii Sports Resort and there will be a lot more games in the future (including Red Steel 2) provided enough gamers pick it up. Wii Sports Resort does come bundled with on of these so if you don't already own one then you will get better value for money from buying that. ...

So although four of the games are the same as the original they are not the same! Wii sports comes with the MotionPlussensor which is the latest must have gadget for the wii. It basically tracks your movements so they are much more accurate and so really enhances playing these games! Wii Sport's Resort comes with just one motionsensor so if you want to play multiplayer and not pass the remote back and forth and to have all options available then it's well worth investing in buying more. They are also used in other games too so you will get lots of use out of them.
The graphics on the game are bright and cheerful as in most wii games like this. It is based around a resort type scene so looks all cheerful and holiday atmophere which is good!
There are different options when playing ...
Advantages: fun to play with family and friends, lots of game choices, some really fun games, multiplayer Disadvantages: very expensive, some potentially boring games, not as well designed as it could be.
your sword. The WiiMotionPlussensor is very good here at picking up every movement you make and it is very realistic. You need to have been successful in the ?speed slice? game in order to unlock the ?showdown? game. I don?t hate the Swordplay but it is not really my kind of thing. I am happy to have a go at it once in a while but to me it does get boring very quickly. However the boys love it so maybe it is a gender thing!
Wakeboarding
Wakeboarding is played using the Wii Remote horizontally as though you are holding on behind the speedboat. As the boat drags you along you can tilt and flick the remote to perform acrobatic jumps which score you points in the time limit. The multiplayer function with this game is by taking turns so you only need the one remote. Although this game is fairly simple I actually do enjoy competing ...
Advantages: Increased sensitivity in the motion capture provides greater accuracy in-game. Disadvantages: Only one Wii MotionPlus attachment comes with the game.
-design was Wii Sports Resort which is the first Wii game to successfully use the new WiiMotionPlus Accessory for greater accuracy.
The WiiMotionPlus simply clips on to the existing Wii remote amplifying the motionsensor causing pin-point accuracy compared to that which was available from the remote by itself. This in combination with Wii Sports Resort brings a more all round entertaining playing experience whilst most importantly increasing both the accuracy of player movements as well as the skill needed for certain games.
WIth this is mind, many of the casual gamers that the Wii attracts may be put off by all this hype about precision and skill however, Wii Sports Resort still remains as fun as the original Wii Sports and in my opinion is even more fun than the original when playing with friends thanks to the enhancements.
