We have had these shears for over two years now and they have proven to be an excellent purchase as they are reliable and easy to use and still going strong.
There are a few features that I like about these pruners. Firstly they are incredibly comfortable to hold as the handles have a nice soft grip to them, they are also shaped in such a way that they fit nicely in the palm of my hand. The grip is soft and slightly adhesive in the sense that even if your hands get a little hot and sweaty they will not slip. Given that the shears are very sharp this is important to know. The blades are nicely shaped and very sharp, we have had to sharpen them only once in the last two years and that was more about the other half being a bit pedantic as I felt they did not need sharpening. The upper blade is solid while the lower one curves around it to make accurate shearing and pruning simple and precise. Naturally they are designed for plants and small branches and will not cope with anything too big. The spring release returns them to the open position after use and at first this was a little too lively however with use it has calmed down.As well as the safety features of the handle there is also a safety catch on the side which locks the shears in the closed position for storage or when you are not using them. I have no memory of how much we paid for these at the time as it was two years ago and they are no longer available on Amazon however if you can find a pair I would certainly recommend them as an effective and long lasting set of pruners.
