What you get for your money. ******************************** The razor comes in a fairly bulky plastic packaging. IT was very difficult to break into too! However ... ...have a proper look. The razor itself is quite large and bulky. The handle is easy to hold and it fits well in my hand. Pull off the plastic protective top to reveal what looks like a block of white soap surrounding the blades. The idea is that you don’t need to use shaving foam when shaving. The instructions state that all you need to do for a perfect shave is to wet the razor and then glide it along your skin.
Before leaving for my summer holiday I always like to stock up on new toiletteries, including some new treats. This year was no exception. Although I have several razors in my bathroom all need new blades. As new blades often cost more than a new razor I decided to treat myself to a new razor. Looking along the shelves of Superdrug I spotted a new razor made by Wilkinson Sword. The razor caught my eye for 2 reasons. One it was on sale at ½ price for under £3 and two it looked like a whole new concept in women’s shaving. The Wilkinson Sword Intuition claims to be the worlds first all in 1 razor for women.
What you get for your money. ******************************** The razor comes in a fairly bulky plastic packaging. IT was very difficult to break into too! However once I had released the razor I was able to have a proper look. The razor itself is quite large and bulky. The handle is easy to hold and it fits well in my hand. Pull off the plastic protective top to reveal what looks like a block of white soap surrounding the blades. The idea is that you don’t need to use shaving foam when shaving. The instructions state that all you need to do for a perfect shave is to wet the razor and then glide it along your skin.
Also included in the pack was a plastic wall suction holder so that you can fix the razor over your bath or shower. As I was going to be taking the razor on holiday I didn’t bother trying this out. However its there if you want to use it!
The pack I bough had no spare blade included but as I paid under £3 I couldn’t really complain!
My experience. ***************** The razor is larger than other razors I have owned and looks quite chunky. The plastic cover that protects the blades is very awkward to take on and off. I find that the push button mechanism doesn’t work so the top falls off.
I usually shave my legs and under my arms in the bath. To activate the soap all you need to do is wet the razor so this is easy in a bath. The razor does give a good close shave and my legs felt smooth and moisturized after I had shaved them. I am always worried about nicking my skin when shaving but this razor was fine! The soap surrounding the blades lathered well and rinsed off with no problem.
However after just a few uses the soap surrounding the blades began to fall apart. I also found the razor very difficult to clean as bits of hair stick to the soap and are difficult to get off.
I tend to shave my legs a few times a week and expect a razor to last for several months before I need to buy replacement blades. I have been using this razor since the beginning of August and the blade is still fine. However the soap has all but disappeared so I now need to use shaving foam which defeats the object of the all in one concept!
The pros. ************ Easy to use and great to take on holiday as this is an all in one razor so you don’t need to take shaving foam. Gives a good close shave and leaves skin feeling smooth with no shaving nicks.
The cons. ************* The soap surrounding the blade doesn’t last and falls apart. The cap protecting the blade tends to fall off. Replacement blades are expensive.
Overall I can’t really recommend this razor especially at the full retail price of over £5.

...The razor is made by Wilkinson Sword, and is a large, and rather thick [but light] instrument, with a soft, grip handle, and a blade attatchment at the top. Sounds pretty standard, but it differs because it actually has soap around the blade, which is designed to lather up, saving the need to use extra shaving products, such as gel, etc...
It comes with a protective, removable hood atop the blade end, and a plastic device that can stick to your ... ...in it comfortably when not in use.
I received the blue razor, which is for normal skin, but it is also available for sensitive skin [a pink colour].
It has a pivoting head that self adjusts for ease around knee caps for example, a triple bladed head, and the soap itself contains Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Shea Butter for extra conditioning.
Prices are generally around the £6 mark for this, although my local superdrug was selling it for about £5 ...

...I use (both made by Wilkinson sword), and the intuition is in fact just as light as my other one, despite looking as though it would be a lot heavier.
For your £5.50 you will get a wall suction pad to secure your razor to the tiles whilst in the shower. The standard razor is a nice aqua colour, but there is also a pink version on the market for sensitive skin.
I'm not a very big soap fan, but will admit that for quickness this razor is a lot better ... ...the shower and managing to shave them before the water washes all the suds away.
If this razor cost a lot less then I probably would consider buying it, however I will use this one until the blade tells me it's time to be changed ( a handy little feature this razor does have), and then go back to using my own razor. ...

Like one of the other reviewers, I got a free Intuition Plus razor from bzzagent.co.uk, a company which gives members free products to try in exchange for the members passing on their experiences to others. The razor looks rather unlike other razors as around the shaving head there is a block of soap-type stuff which means that the razor can be used without shaving gel. The kit I received came with a shower holder and 1 cartridge already inserted ... ...as well (just for your reference) and was the green coloured one for sensitive skin. The razor also comes in pink with hydrasoft formula cartidges which are "a light, feminine fragrance".
Packaging - one of the banes of my life, the packaging that requires scissors and nerves to steel to break into. Moulded plastic on a plastic back which took me quite a while to get into and required much use of nail scissors, although I do have problems with my ...

For a long time, I was a devoted user of Gilette's Venus razor, but I can be quite lazy so any invention which saves me time and does the same job is likely to take preference.
My housemate bought the Intuition razor when it first came on the market and was on half price offer and, not wanting to be outdone, I decided that £3 or so was not a lot to spend to test it out for myself.
Basically, the Intuition is a lot like other razors in that it comprises ... ...to tilt backwards and forwards and mould itself to the contours of your leg, bikini line etc. to prevent nicks and scrapes. However, what makes this design so clever is that the blades are embedded in a solid conditioning block which is rich in cocoa butter, aloe vera and vitamin E, and which has the consistency of soap/ shaving gel when it makes contact with water, thus eliminating any need for a separate shaving gel. When I first saw this advertised (probably about 2 years ago now) I was immediately attracted to it because of the conditioning block, it sounded as if it would make shaving a lot easier and a lot quicker.
I was also drawn in by the fact that they claimed that there was aloe vera in the block (What is it about aloe vera? - it doesnt matter what they put it in, if its got it I want it!)
I had to wait about a year before I could reasonably afford ... ...was not working at the time but it was definetely worth it!
The razor itself has three blades with a white conditioning block surrounding it. The Razor and the block are one thing, so when you change the blade you change the blade. The handle is white with a blue rubber grip, it also has a small hole in the top to enable you to hang your razor up on a shower hanger they provide when you buy the razor.
