After having a short dalliance with waxing, and then spending my nights trying to release in growing hairs, I decided to return to shaving. Then by chance I completed a survey for the Quattro for Women Bikini, and immediately thought to myself 'I've got to get me one of those'. Then I saw them in Tesco on a promotional introductory offer at half price (the full price being £8.99), so I snapped one up immediately. And after giving it a thorough testing, these are my thoughts.
The razor itself is pretty much a standard razor these days, with four blades and a lubricating strip which has an Aloe and Duo-Vitamine complex, which helps to keep your skin soft and silky, despite having four blades dragged across it. It takes Quattro refill blades, which are a little expensive at close to £5 for 3, but this is pretty much standard for blades now.
What makes this razor different is the battery powered trimmer integrated into the base. Surprisingly the battery is included in the pack when you buy it. The trimmer is for the bikini area, you can adjust the trimmer comb depending on the hair length you require, or you can remove the comb completely for total hair removal.
Also included in the pack is a shower holder, which is a holder for your razor that has two suction pads on the back to attach to your tiles.
To the actual usage. Well the razor is a razor, there's not much you can say about them really, it trims the hairs as well as any other, and it glides nicely over the skin. Because of the trimmer, it is slightly bottom heavy, so it takes a little getting used to after using lightweight razors for such a long time.
The trimmer is great, it's also waterproof, so there's no worry about using it in the shower, either as a razor or using the trimmer. Being able to adjust the comb length is a great idea, because obviously everyone is different, some women don't like any hair at all, whereas others will only use the complete hair removal for the bikini line itself and adjust the comb for the rest of the bikini area.
It's not the quietest of items, so there's no point trying to do your bikini line in secret, anyone passing by the bathroom will know what you're doing!
Cleaning is easy, you just remove the comb and rinse it under the tap, then put it back in the shower hanger to dry.
So far the suction pads on the shower hanger have stayed put, normally I find myself woken in the night by these types of things dropping off the wall (why they always wait until night time to drop off, I'll never know), but these seem to be stuck solid.
Overall I'd definitely recommend this razor, it means I can ditch my individual razors and electric lady shave, which will be especially handy when going on holiday, because it means one less item to pack.
Advantages: Works well, no irritation Disadvantages: None
...so what to do? The Wilkinson Sword Quattro for Women bikini is a godsend as it's a handy little product that does the job its intended to do. The razor is described as a razor to shave, trim and transform, for easy even trimming and long lasting smooth skin for all your curves, in just one razor! The razor looks like any other normal razor. At one end is a normal razor head which you use for your legs underarms and anywhere else you wish to shave. ... ...legs and curves very well. The razor has four blades so it's quite good at capturing all your little stray hairs. Now on the other end, this is where the razor differs from others on the market. It has a battery operated trimmer which is small and half the size of the razor on the other end. This enables you to get into the smaller bikini area well to give a closer shave. What's great is that the trimmer has different lengths so it enables you to ...

Advantages: Very effective bikini line trimmer, and close shaving performance Disadvantages: Expensive, and less than effective shower hanger. Stupid operating instructions
...finally been converted to the Wilkinson Sword Quattro for Women Bikini razor. All razors are not created alike. The Quattro is a non-disposal razor – the type you buy heads for, rather than chucking the whole thing away. It has four blades (I am forced to wonder when a 10 bladed razor will be available – how many blades does one gal need, I ask you?!) and a couple of strips, one above the blades and one below, which apparently contain ‘aloe & duo—vitamine ... ...a gal to do? Wilkinson Sword have therefore kindly provided an electric trimmer – similar to a wee little beard trimmer (which seems appropriate somehow). This allows one to shorten without removing pubic hair. There is a removable cover on the trimmer, so that you can go for really quite short (a number one?) if you remove the cover, or somewhat less so if you leave it on (my preferred option). I am a fan of the Quattro. The razor end is fairly ...

This is an awsome product, I had seen it advertised on TV recently before my holiday and decided to get one a few days before i went. I am soooo glad i did!! The choice of length for the trimming end if great and the razor end gave a smooth shave. Ive used it several times now and not found the blades dulling or anything yet. without this my holiday would have been VERY different! I even raved about it to my family while we were all sitting around ... ...I have with my parents but it certainly was amusing! also worth noting that the noise it makes is very low and can not be heard outside the bathroom so nobody will be ready with jokes about your trimming!! Love it! ++Update++ now been using this for some months and am still extremely happy with it. The battery has lasted and is still going strong. The blade only dulled after lots of use and replacements were within a reasonable price range. This ...
