By writing this review I am revealing to every-one who takes the time to read it that I am probably not the most girly girl, and probably a bit of a lazy bones when it comes to getting rid of the hair on my hairy rugby player looking legs !

Please dont hold this against me, just look at it this way, at least if a razor gets a good review from me, then it must be robust !

My family had been invited to a wedding earlier this year, and as it was probably the first 'outing' my legs had got since being covered for the majority of the winter with jeans, I knew that they would need a more than average shave.

I do shave my legs through the winter just not very often, usually when hubby moans because its like (and I quote) " going to bed with a small bl**dy cactus farm!"

Anyway I knew it was probably going to be a big job, and the normal cheap throw away razors would probably not be up to the job, and whatever razors I used, one would probably not be enough, so I bought what I think is a mid priced range razor, but a pack of four, two for each leg and whatever sharpness was left would do my under arm as I shave those regularly.

The night before the wedding I took my pack of four Wilkinson Sword Xtreme 3 Beauty razors in to the shower, and prepared myself for the labourious task of a proper leg shave.
I had even splashed out and bought some ladies shaving gel.
I smoothed the gell over one leg, opened the pack of razors and began long slow sweeps of the leg with a razor, rinsed the head under the shower and did another sweep next to the last one and so on.

To my absolute amazement, in no time at all, the whole leg was smooth and I was still using the original razor.
I proceeded to do the other leg, with the same razor, thinking surely I would have to get a new one out soon, but no, again, in no time at all this leg was smooth too.

Wow two smooth legs, and both underarms, using the initial razor....impressive !

I felt sure that once dry I would notice that the smoothness was'nt as smooth as I thought and I would have to go again.
I was wrong. I had shaved both legs and underarms with the same razor, all very smooth and without having to use copiuos amounts of loo roll to blot the blood from all of the nicks I usually incur !

Surely by the next day I would get 6 o'clock shadow usually associated with mens chins, but I did'nt at all. In fact my legs were smooth and hairless for at least 4 days after the wedding.
Even then the re-growth seemed slower than normal, this could have been due to the hair being in shock from actually being shaved properly !
They also seemed to be smoother than they were after I had shaved them previously. I think probably this was due to the aloe & jojoba on the strip along the top of the razor. Whatever it was I was grateful and so was hubby !

THE PACKAGING

A colourful mainly brilliant pink blister pack with a splash of water across the front displaying the words WILKINSON SWORD. A round lilac shape towards the bottom showing that the razors are flexible with a strip impregnated with aloe & jojoba for comfort
Unlike other razor blister packs, this one is very easy to open, you simply peel of the front, using the thumb sized tag to start you off.

Usually, in my experience, most packs of razors need to be pierced with something sharp, which you dont have in the shower.
The opening of the pack was almost joyous incomparison to others I have fought with !

THE RAZOR HANDLE

The handle is shaped in a slight arch making it erganomic and comfortable to hold in the palm of your hand.
There is a small grippy rubber bit near the top of the razor handle for your thumb and forefinger which makes for a much more secure grip.
On the underside of the handle there are v shapes in the plastic which act as a slight grip also.
I found the razor vey easy to use and comfortable to hold.
In my pack I had two with a lilac handle and two with a pink handle.

THE RAZOR HEAD

Each head is flexible making it easier and safer to shave along the contours of your leg or under-arm without nicking your skin. Probably for the first time ever, I shaved without needed a transfusion afterwards !
Each head also has 3 blades, hence its supposed to shave you 3 x closer than a single blade.
Also, another great feature is each razor head has a thin strip along the top that has been impregnated with Aloe & Jojoba, which are natural moisturisers. So each time you sweep a razor along your leg you wipe some of the aloe & jojoba on to it.

DURABILITY

This is what impressed me the most, the fact that I shaved both considerably hairy cactus plant like, legs and both of my under-arms using only the one razor. The shave was the same closeness from start to finish, and the razor would probably done for another day, but I threw it away when tidying up.
Since my initial shave with this razor, I can now make one razor last 2-3 shaves, but I do shave my legs more often now as it is so easy with these.

PRICE

In my opinion, these razors are mid price range, I paid £4.40p for a pack of 4 from boots, but they are better value for money as they last alot longer, at least 2 leg shaves longer.
If you shopped around I expect they could be bought whilst on offer.

MY CONCLUSION

In a word these are simply BRILLIANT.
They are easy to use, comfortable to hold with a secure grip.
The aloe & jojoba strip leave your skin feeling soft.
Since buying these my hubby has not even mentioned cactus farms as they are so quick and easy to use I use them more often !

I would and have recommended these to friends and family alike, they only person that has not been able to give them a go is my sister as she is allergic to jojoba. Every-one else that has tried them agrees with me, that they are excellent all round.

10/10 for the entirety of this product from me.
