Wilkinsons is fast becoming a popular store. As well as selling branded products, they also have their own ranges. One of these ranges is Skin Therapy which includes facial products.
Wilko's say "Skin Therapy Fragrance Free Facial Wipes have been specially formulated to cleanse, tone and moisturise the skin, effectively removing face and eye makeup whilst being gentle on your skin. Dermatologically tested and alcohol free, Skin Therapy Fragrance Free Facial Wipes are suitable for all skin types".
- alcohol and soap freeThe facial wipes come in a plastic packet. There is a resealable label on to top. On the top of the packet, you will see the Skin Therapy logo and some information about the wipes. On the back of the packet, you will see the blurb about the wipes, directions for use, ingredients and details of how to contact Wilko.
The packet is different from the one shown above. It is a delicate green shade with white panels and the writing is in a darker green shade. The wipes themselves are quite large and white. They have a good thickness though can still be seen through. They shouldn't be flushed.
Facial wipes are something that I go through alot of. I got into the habit of buying packs at around £3-£4 from Boots. I can certainly no longer afford to spend this amount on them so always search for alternatives. Having been impressed with cheap Asda face wipes, when I spotted these on the Wilko shelves at 2pks for 80p, I couldn't resist! I opted for the fragrance free as I have sensitive skin.
I personally use facial wipes in the morning before applying some day cream and in the evening for removing any makeup or grime from my face. I don't wear a massive amount of makeup but I do like my eyeliner and mascara so any wipes I use, need to put up with this.My first impressions of the wipes were good, the packet is attractive but basic and although I am not fond of they awful sticky labels, this one suprised me by sticking down so neat you wouldn't even know it was there!
As the wipes are alcohol and fragrance free, I didn't expect any scent. I would say though they remind me of unfragranced baby wipes in scent. The wipes are larger than I anticipated. One wipe covered my full face when layed out flat. The wipes are white but you can see through them as they have little dimple effects. They are perfectly moist as to cleanse but not soak your face. They feel soft and smooth but dry out quickly. To the test..the makeup! To test I was wearing mineral powder and blush (both No7), eyeliner (Estee Lauder) and mascara (Benefit). I swept the wipe across my face and instantly felt a delightful coolness.
