Advantages: Clears all nappy rash, no matter how bad it is. Disadvantages: Goes on quite thick and stains if you get it on your clothes.
Before I got pregnant I had never heard of Metanium and had bought a tub of Sudacrem as part of my pre-baby kit. This was THE nappy cream that all the shops had and my mum was always telling me she had used Sudacrem on me.
Then one day whilst I was heavily pregnant, I was browsing the baby aisle in Tesco and a mum came up to me. She told me that if there was just one baby product that I bought, it should be Metanium. She told me that it would make nappy rash lierally disappear overnight. I initially thought she was mad, but bought a tube anyway. It did seem a bit expensive at £3.29, but I'd alreayd spend a lot on baby stuff, so added it to the list of essentials!
It really was the best decision I'd made! The first time my little girl got nappy rash was when she was only a few weeks old. Her skin was red raw and she was in agony. I ...

Advantages: Great Barrier Disadvantages: Smell, Colour, waterproof (takes ages to wash it off)
Metanium Nappy Rash Cream.....Hmmmm What Can I Say...?
Well this cream is a horrible yellow colour and is very thick but easy to apply to a sore bottom and does spread rather easy.
The cream you can buy for about £3.50 - £4 ish and it comes in a 30g tube...does last a long time though....
I got this cream on prescription as my daughters nappy rash ended up infected....when i got the cream and got home to but it on...i was surprised to what it looked and smelt like....i have never come across something like this before...i have already mentioned the look of it but the smell was not nice and stained her bottom yellow....
The cream is deffinatly waterproof...which makes it hard to wash of babys bottom and your hands.
I would only use this again because the cream sticks to bottom and does help the nasty rash, this is the only reason ...
Advantages: Clears up very bad nappy rash Disadvantages: Can stain.
I had always used Sudacreme (when needed) on my daughter but one day she got very bad nappy rash. Most parents know what nappy rash is but if unsure it appears on a baby in the area covered by a nappy. It is caused by irritation and sometimes by infection. The soreness can make the baby very uncomfortable. Our daughters nappy rash started as spotty red skin but after using Sudacreme and leaving her nappy off regularly it didn't go away and soon started to blister slightly.
After a trip to my health visitor she suggested Metanium, i think it was just over £3 but to help my daughter i didn't think the price was bad at all. After using it all weekend i noticed it was helping and so bought another tube to send into nursery with her.
This is the only nappy cream I would use now (if i had anther child!) and i have recommended it to ...

Manufacturer's product description
Cradle cap is very common in babies. In fact, it is reported that approximately 50% of all babies suffer from this condition at some time, usually during the first couple of weeks of the infant's life. Cradle cap is a disease of the scalp characterised by greasy, yellow scaly patches on the skin of the scalp. The condition is temporary and harmless but doesn't look very nice, so Metanium has added Metanium Cradle Cap Cream to the range, offering a treatment that is both easy to apply and highly effective. To use: apply sparingly onto the affected scalp. Wash off the cream after a half hour to two hour period depending on the severity of cradle cap. For babies up to 12 months the cream should be left on for a maximum of half an hour. If a second treatment is needed, wait seven days before re-applying.
