Metanium comes in a yellow tube of 30g costing £3.56. The cream itself is also yellow. It's really waterproof so does not wash off easily therefore it is a great barrier cream. It has a strong medicated smell to it. Watch out as it does get everywhere if you have a wriggly baby.
I had this on prescription as my little one had bad nappy rash, thanks to a certain nappy (see my review), so saved a bit of money as I was trying various creams to find one that suited my baby. I used this cream as recommended by HV and some friends said it was brill, they swear by it.
Well my boy must have a sensitive bum as his rash started to get worse with the use of this cream. I went back to the Sudocrem and his bottom was back on the road to recovery. I guess all babies are different so all I can say is if your little babber has sensitive skin then use with caution. I won't be using this cream again.
I have given this product an overall rating of satisfactory as it sticks to the bottom well and the tube lasts ages, a small amount goes a long way!
