During the summer months my baby son developed a terrible nappy rash bought on by the heat. He had not previously suffered from nappy rash and so I was quite shocked to see how badly he had been effected by it in such a short period of time. His skin had quickly blistered and began bleeding. With the excessive heat, and a heat rash too, this made him rather upset.
I needed something that was guaranteed to clear it up promptly. I subsequently asked for advice from friends and was advised that I should try either Bepantham or Metanium, with Metanium being the stronger and more effective of the two.
I took a trip to my local supermarket and looked at both products. I noticed that the Bepantham seems to be aimed at preventing nappy rash where as the Metanium quite clearly stated that is was for the treatment of nappy rash and also had a soothing effect. I therefore bought the Metanium which cost £2.90 for a 30g tube.
Metanium is a thick cream which has an almost powdery texture and is mustard in colour. Only a very thin application is needed and so a full tube will probably last through your child's babyhood! It can cause discolouring of your finger nails and contact with clothes should be avoided.
I was very impressed with this product. Quite incredibly I noticed a difference after the very first application and my baby's nappy rash cleared up in no time.
I fully recommend Metanium!
