The Williams Team have been around in F1 racing since 1972 and have been one of the most successful teams of all time.
They have won the Constructors World Championship on nine occasions and the Drivers World Championship on seven occasions. Between 1992 and 1997 the team dominated the sport in such a manner that most spectators wondered who could ever challenge this team. However, for the 1998 season the team changed engines from Renault to Supertec and for that season and the following season they did not win one single race.
For the 2000 season the team changed engines again, this time to BMW. During that first year the team had some teething problems, but it was obvious that the Williams/BMW combination was going to be a force to be reckoned with.
During the 2001 season the team has started its rise back up to the top with some stunning performances. (Wins at San Marino and Montreal). However, there are still a lot of problems with the reliability of the cars, with more failures than finishes. But, I am sure that the team will overcome these problems and finish a solid third in the Constructors championship this year. Next year I am sure they will challenge Ferrari and McLaren for the number one slot.
The driver combination of Ralf Schumacher and Juan-Pablo Montoya is not a great personal friendship. Ralf has proved that he can win races (even beating his brother) and I am sure he will win many more races for Williams. Montoya came to the team in a blaze of glory, but as yet is still to prove that F1 is the formula for him.
The team is headed by Sir Frank Williams, who holds a very powerful grip over every member of the team and is himself a great character, having a wonderful insight into the whole of the F1 set-up. Patrick Head is the Technical Director of the team and is heading the revival of the team.
The come back of this great team is going to make the 2001 season very interesting indeed.
Advantages: Greatest winners of championship titles, dominate season after season, strong leadership. Disadvantages: Occasional poor driver decisions, behind McLaren on race victories.
...to the end of 2001, Williams have participated in 23 seasons (beginning 1978), McLaren 35 (beginning 1966) and Ferrari all 51. Respectively, they have taken the following driver's and constructor's titles: Williams 7 and 9, McLaren 11 and 8, Ferrari 11 of each. Therefore it can be seen that Williams have won 30.4% of driver's titles available to them, and 39.1% of potential constructor's titles. McLaren have 31.4% and 22.8%, and Ferrari have won ... ...that, while Williams lead the way in constructor's title victories, McLaren have a slight edge in terms of individual race victories and points scores. Percentage of Grands Prix victories (Correct to end of 2000): McLaren: 130 wins from 509 races = 25.5% win ratio Williams: 103 wins from 428 races = 24% win ratio Ferrari: 135 wins from 636 races = 21.2% win ratio Average points scored* per race (Correct to end of 2000): McLaren: 2481.5pts from 509 ...

Advantages: The team are getting better Disadvantages: Frank being the boss!
...to the conclusion that Frank Williams must be a bit scared of British Drivers. Over the years he has managed to git rid of the best British drivers in the sport. The biggest example of this that I can think of is Nigel Mansell. Nigel, who was probabaly one of the most popular British drivers, was dispersed with. Well, I mean, he had just won the championship....in brillaint style....what more did Frank want? Next, Damon Hill. Ok so he was never the ... ...world champion.
Now here we are, and the team are just starting to come good again after a few quiet years. He has got two young and very talented drivers so what does he do??? Well he gets rid of the British one of course! I know that it is only for two seasons but surely Frank....haven't you learnt you lesson yet? Jenson Button has got so much talent and it will only be a matter of time until he is continually at the front.
In my opinion, the ...

Sir Frank Williams has come good at last with his promises of returning to the days of domination of Formula 1. Williams started in the Late 70's after buying up part of the Wolf Racing team and entering the cars himself. In 1980, Alan Jones became World Champion in the first of many world championships for the team. Keke Rosberg,Nelson Piquet,Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Jacques Villenueve have all won the title with the Didcot based ... ...drivers very well. Most leave after winning and with tales of bad management, bitterness and mistreatment. Recently, the team has slipped from its foothold as the primary team in F1 with both Ferrari and McLaren becoming the new forces. Now it is time to change and they are doing just that with their 2 newest drivers. Juan Pablo Montoya showed he can mix it with the best by passing and leading the race in Brazil before being cruelly taken out at ...

Advantages: Prospects for the future Disadvantages: Getting there
...is long term contracted to Williams and can be loaned out to others but Juan Pablo Montoya is not proved in Formula 1. Anyone can win INdy Cart Championship. Even fat Nigel Mansell did it!!! Even Alex Zanardi did it and look what he drove like last season!!! Pants!!! I expect Johnny herbert to go over there and win it by a mile. Its mucxh easier to race in that Formula 1. The engine has been a nice suprise to all Williams fans this season. Imagine ...

...further. Team boss Frank Williams certainly isn't afraid to take risks, last season he gambled on Jenson Button, and we saw how talented the young Englishman is. Now he has released Button to Benetton for two years, pssibly a bigger risk as Jenson may realise his full potential with them. However Frank Williams has brought in someone believed to be one of the most talented drivers of this era - right up with Michael Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve. ... ...driver for 2001 is immensely capable, and the team shoul put up a good showing. It will be in a couple of years time, however when Frank's masterplan should come to fruition. The car and engine will be at the peak of development, and should be the class of the field. Jenson Button will return from his loan to Benetton to join Juan Pablo Montoya, with Ralf Schumacher moving on. And then it will be a two way fight for the championship between the Brit ...

No player may ever dominate snooker again like Steve Davis did in the 1980s and Stephen Hendry in the 1990s but there could be no disputing the fact that Mark Williams finished the 1999-2000 season a worthy world No 1.
Winner of the Liverpool Victoria UK Championship and Thailand Masters - as well as finishing runner-up in the Champions Cup, Grand Prix, Malta Grand Prix and Regal Scottish - Williams was already assured of top spot in the rankings before he arrives at Sheffield?s
Crucible Theatre for the Embassy World Championship.
He beat Matthew Stevens 18-16 to win the Embassy last season. It was the closest Crucible final since Hendry defeated Jimmy White 18-17 in 1994 and Williams showed nerves of steel to become the first left-hander to lift the trophy in the 73-year history of the event.
Williams starts the 2000 ...

Advantages: she won at wimbledon Disadvantages: little skill just plays like a man
The likes of venus williams is destroying the womens game of tennis. Others include the monster that is maurismo. They have no skill like Hingis and Kornakova they just whack the ball as hard as they can when they serve. If any more of these monsters appear it will end up like the mens game a case of hit the ball as hard as you can no rallies allowed. Hingis and Kornakove attract men to the game. Williams makes me turn the TV over to the sumo wrestling channel for some beautiful women. When hingis gets a return to form she's gonna whoop the williams ass. ...
Advantages: His music is really good Disadvantages: He is cocky
I have decided that I really like Robbie Williams. He is really cool. He might be a bit cocky, but he just has a lot of confidence. Good on him. I loved the video to ?I don?t want to rock?. I love the song also. The new music video is funny but it isn?t anywhere near as good as the one that was banned, his old one.
I love his new song with Kylie. I like the music video to that song also, Kids. Even if I am not to keen on Kylie I think they work well together.
Robbie Williams we love you babe. ...
