My 2 Staffordshire Bull Terriers Levi and Flex have been eating Winalot for a good few years now. They have tried many brands but found this one to be a winner with both my dogs.

**HISTORY**
Purina Pet Care, who is the makers of Winalot, is a world leading pet care company. Who have over 75 years or pet care; their brand contains well known names such as Winalot, Bakers, Felix and Go-Cat. All the pet food range is developed by Purina Pet Institute, which is based in the USA, St. Louis in Missouri.
The company’s research and development is staffed by food scientists, biologists, immunology specialists, nutritionists, flavour scientists, veterinarians and animal behaviorists.
Purina is a leading member of the Pet Food Manufacturers' Association.

**PACKAGING**
The main colour they use is green, green labels and green plastic which comes wrapped round the tins in mulitpacks. The 12 pack has a cardboard tray bottom.
The labels them selves are Green and each flavour is colour coded.
Blue for Tuna, Red for Beef, Orange for Chicken, Purple for Lamb and Turkey, Pink for Duck and Rabbit,

**THE RANGE**
Winalot dog food in cans comes in a variety of flavours, and sizes. I

Chicken in Jelly, Tuna in Jelly, Duck and Rabbit in Jelly, Lamb and Turkey in Jelly, which are available in size’s 400g, 800g and 1200g

Cod and Plaice in Jelly only available in 400g.

Chicken in Meaty Loaf, Tuna in Meaty Loaf, Beef in Meaty Loaf, which are available in 390g only.

Also these can be purchased in Mulitpacks

**PRICES & WHERE TO BUY**
Prices as in Tesco’s, prices are correct at time of posting this review.

Winalot Vitality plus Mixed Variety 6 Pack 2380g £2.24
Winalot Mixed Variety 12 Pack 4770g £3.65
Winalot Mixed Variety Pack in Jelly 4 x1200g £4.27
Single 400g £0.42
Single 1200g £1.08

Winalot can be purchased from any Supermarket and Local shops to pet shops. Most News agents and off licences don’t tend to sell this brand.

**OVER-ALL**
My dog’s love it. The texture of meat is soft but not too soft easy to mash down with a fork. But the Meaty Loaf are not so easy to mash, with this type the meat is a bit soft but more towards the hard to tough side, has bent a few forks trying to mash it. Have found that with this make the dog food doesn’t smell to bad, and the Tuna one does have Tuna in it, not just to make it taste of Tuna, which you don’t often find.

Price = Winalot 12 pack for £3.36 - Pedigree 12 pack for £5.08.

Levi and Flex have had Pedigree before, but have found this to bet all other brands.
If you are after mulitpacks then you do need a supermarket.
Now where I have 2 dogs and the 12 pack has 3 of each, what do I do?

As they will only have the same or one gets the hump as they would end up having a different one each. So to over come this I have to half a tin between them, when it comes to the last few in the pack.
What would be a great idea is to sell mulitpacks of the same one, why not have a 6 or 12 pack of say just Tuna?

Over all, I will continue using this brand and make as the dogs love it.
Before I forget, keep the dog food in a cool, dry place or once opened, cover with cling film or place in a tub and use with in 24 hours.

I always say I wouldn’t give my dog’s anything I wouldn’t eat. If I won’t eat it nor will they. Would you?

No I haven’t personally tried it, so I’m taking their words for it.

Our staff is about 14 now and still going strong, he is also fed on Winalot and it seems to be keeping him healthy and happy.
