Winalot is a brand I have purchased for approximatley two to three months now. Prior to switching to winalot, I used a supermarkets own premium brand. My dog started to go off that product so I had to find a suitable replacement. Therefore, in this review, my comparisons will be made to the supermarkets own premium brand. I purchase Winalot Classics, a six pack for £3.29, consisting of; 2 x Chicken in jelly 2 x Lamb in jelly 2 x Cod and plaice in jelly Up to now I am satisfied with winalot's products, my dog loves all of the different types available, with tuna being her favourate. She usually eats between 1 and 2 tins per day, and has done for the last two months. My dog appears to be more alert and energetic, as at times she seemed alittle lethargic, or just lazy! Her coat is nice and shiny, and smooth in texture. Although she casts a whopping amount of hair! She is in peak condition, allround. In consideration when deciding to buy winalot, I read the nutritional information. The content information is as follows; protein 6.5%, oil 4.0%, rish3%, fibre 0.5%, moisture 83.0%. Copper as copper sulphate 3mg/kg, vit a 1310 iu/kg, vit b group 5.2mg/kg, vit d3 160 iu/kg, vit e 10mg/kg. All variations contain the following nutrients; cereals, vegetable protein extracts, minerals coloured with ec additives. The brand claims an individual dogs requirement may differ from their "daily feeding guide" adjust the amount given to keep your dog in active, lean condition. Personally, I agree with this statement, as the difference and improvements in my dog proove it, as her diet were the only difference in her environment, or lifestyle. So there must be some correlation with her diet and condition, which I believe is down to winalot. I have also used many other products by winalot, such as, tuna in jelly, and beef variety. There are also winalot roasts available, which are loved by my pet, I have been able to get, chicken roast and beef roast, I am not sure if there are any more variations available, I have not come accross any more yet. Recently, we tried the winalot casserole, which my dog really enjoyed, although with it having alot more gravy in it, her bowel movements were looser. Looking at this particular product, the winalot classics, allround, seems a very good purchase. The quality and quantity of ingredients and vitamin and nutritional content, seems fair for the price of the product. the packaging could be improved for the six pack as it can be hard to keep a hold of when carrying a number of items. Some sort of handle intergrated in with the packaging would be more practical. However, on the whole I think winalot is a great choice for your pet.
