Advantages: Cheap, great: graphics, scenery, weather, planes, ATC, systems the lot. Disadvantages: Very Americanized, computers becoming more available for FSX
you are not willing to fork out a lot of money on a new computer just yet, stick to flight simulator 2004. My computer is now 3 years old and I can run the game on "ultra-high" for all settings with unlimited FPS. (basically, it looks bloody amazing)
Flight Simulator 2004 "A Century of Flight" is celebrating the 100 years of aviation since the first flight by the Wright Brothers. (even though I beleive this was 1903 not 1904) To be honest there isn't much of a difference between 2002 & 2004 but you can buy it for £5 nowadays so you might as well if you havn't already got it.
The weather is better as is the terrain. The instrumental systems have been updated (ILS, NBD etc.) there are a couple of new planes and variations, more airports and new aircraft liveries. ATC is more interactive and you will hear many more commands being ...
Advantages: Lego, star wars, price, fun factor collector or to play with Disadvantages: None
set.
But to my great happiness Lego had created star wars sets, I was happy to say the least and with my birthday money was overjoyed until I saw the range of prices, from 1.99 to 249 pounds and 99 p.
Having 30 quid somewhat limited my options but hey! It was a gift and one which allowed me something that I would greatly enjoy, granted I would build it then take it apart and place it back in the box just knowing I had one.
Also taking great care in opening and handling the box because that’s the way I am, weird you may say, but after some lengthy searches on the net I found there wasn’t much variance in price so I opted to get mine right away at my local toys r us.
I paid 24.99 for the B-wingfighter, which I found, was the going rate and the only going rate at that.
To my horror and the glee of my wife when I got ...
Advantages: Stunning Graphics, More Aircraft, MS's Best Yet Disadvantages: You'll need a supercomputer to run it!
've taken off?') but if you're looking for realism, stunning graphics, well modelled aircraft, aerodynamic effects and every airport you can imagine then it is the best you'll find by a long way.
As with most Microsoft products, however, it does have the downfall that unless you're running a parallel processor supercooled computer; (and most of us aren't!) then you'll have to turn down some of the options. If you do have a brand new up to date system, then I envy you, as the graphics and effects are stunning even at my level - I can only imagine they'd be close to perfect with the sliders turned to max.
Another feature of most MS flight-sims is the upgrade capability - there are usually a wealth of updates and new aircraft available on the web. Development on new ones for FS2004 doesn't seem quite up to speed yet, but I'm sure it will pick ...
