Description A lovely plush soft toy of Winnie the Pooh, complete with nightcap rests his weary head on a pillow in soft neutral colours. The Pillow contains the batteries and when touched gently, a beautiful lullabye plays with the intention of soothing your baby to sleep. The pillow also lets of fa gentle glow giving the additional benefit of a nightlight for your child.
With the toy comes a remote control which is handy for activating, changing music choice (a familiar Pooh theme tune, birds chirping or a light classical tune) and de-activating it once your little one is asleep.
General Comments I love Winnie the Pooh and I love Fisher Price who make this lovely, soft and huggable nightlight/lullabye maker. Fisher Price are always reliable in creating a product which is not only safe and practical but also appealing to small children. The nice thing about this is ideally you can sit it in the cot with your child without worrying about potential dangers such as knocking into it as your child moves about and loose or sharp parts causing a concern. The soft cuddly texxture is soft enough for your baby to safely cuddle up to throughout the night.
The addition of having a remote control will be a god-send for any parent. Any parent knows what a mine-field checking on your sleeping nipper can be without waking them. It becomes an expedition comparable to tactical field tests carried out by the SAS and the slightelst mistake can easily result in a sleepless night as you walk back and forth with your startled and suprisingly alert wee one.
The musical selections are wonderful. Far from being your standard annoying barney-type songs, they are sweet melodies which would likely encourage the worst-effected insomniac to sleep let alone newborns. Everything about this product is soft and gentle and the sounds are no acception.
As wonderful as this toy is, my son, who is a particularly light sleeper rarely used it and when he did, it was placed quite a distance outside of his door apposed to next to him in his cot. The reason for this is that Fisher Price made one vital mistake when creating this life saving piece of baby equipment. There is no volume adjuster and unfortunately, it plays quite loudly. Now, it may be and I hope it is the case that the high volume on our nighttime soother was higer than normal. However, I would strongly suggest checking this in the store prior to purchase.
Apart from the volume issue, which I appreciate could be quite a major issue, This was a wonderful product which had that problem been fixable would have been warn out with use by now
