Canada is the second biggest country on this planet. Though it has no California or New York, it's got Toronto, Winnipeg and Calgary. Winnipeg is not the main city in Canada but it is situated 100 miles off the American boarder. If you are planning a trip to Canada, I highly reccomend Winnipeg and this is why.You arrive in Winnipeg via plane, Not a bumpy journey and a really good price. When you enter the spacious, warm airport friendly faces are there to greet you from your flight as you enter customs. Double doors await you further on where family and friends would wait to greet you (If you are on holiday, this is a great place to gather your party together and organise yourself). Escalators take you up to the main floor where the spacious area includes a playground for young children and relaxing areas for the adults. A flight of Taxis await outside to take you to your destination.
Once left the airport the open road is there to take you in and out of the city. This city is full of happiness and life. QX104 will blast from your car radio with the greatest country hits of all time (If you are not a fan of Country Music, you will be once you leave Canada. (There are also other radio stations with different music, I just found this one to be the best.)) When you arive at your hotel which in Winnipeg always seems like a 7*, the most cheerful people are there to greet you at the door and show you the way to your room. I'd say the best beds in the world are in Winnipeg because they were the nicest ones I've ever been in.One you have settled into the city of Winnipeg, your able to pick up tourist guides and maps to show you around. I had my cousin Roger, one of the nicest fellas in Winnipeg, showing me the city in his truck was so cool. I definitely reccomend having a truck ride if you can, they are big, fast and suitable for anyone of any age.
There are many places to visit in Winnipeg. If you travel in the winter, you've got the mountains for skiing and smowboarding, if you are traveling between May and October (preferably AUGUST) the weather is as hot if not hotter than Spain! Anyway, there are really good places to visit in Winnipeg. A few of them are; The Museum, The Zoo which has Penguins!, The Forks which always has entertainment going on and the cafe on the bridge. These are just a small sample of what Winnipeg has to offer as well as many shopping centres, cinemas, ToysRus, restrauntes, the Lagoon and the list does not stop there! There is also various types of transport flowing throughout Winnipeg.Winnipeg, Manitoba is definitely a place to visit and should be at the top of your GO TO list! Everything there is a great value for money and it would be a great adventure for the kids. It's not just child friendly as there are many activities that go on for people over the age of 16.
A reccomended time span to visit the city is around two weeks / 16 days so you can cover all the great activities that the city has to offer! I would love to here about your experiences in Winnipeg to!Signing off
