About me :
Hi! My basic hobbies include horses, socialising and working (weird, I know?!) I'm quite new so any feed back or advise would be greatly appreciated! Ciao!
Pro Versatile and durable. Good for all levels of experience and price.
Cons Doesn't fit every shape of horse necessarily.

Value for Money

"Good value for money."

I have had my young horse in this Wintec on and off over the five years that I've owned her. She has changed shape drastically and due to the changeable gullet system, I have mostly been able to accommodate her through her growth and other horses at the yard also especially with different processes.
The saddle is synthetic, which is easily looked after and is easily replaced if damages do occur. Everything about the saddle is appealing, the look and feel - bearing in mind that it is quite light in comparison to others. It is well priced and overall has a lot of durability. The style of the saddle is simple and made to look as though it is made from leather. It has well spaced girth straps and D rings around the saddle so you can attach crupper / breastplate if necessary. It is easy to give a wipe over with a damp cloth if it gets dirty. The tree is well built and the whole saddle is made well considering the lower price range of this product.

The saddle is general purpose and it suits this genre to a tee, I have competed in three disciplines in this saddle without it slipping forwards or backwards. I strongly believe that you should get a professional out to fit your saddle before attempting to ride any horse in something completely new however, with the ability to adjust the saddle from a wide to a narrow depending on which of your steeds will be ridden in it, it is both versatile per horse and for the activity for the day. I especially like the synthetic nature and the price of the saddle when hunting or competing cross country due to the wear and tear, mud, sweat and everything else that gets in and around the saddle area.
Due to how lightweight it is, you can use this saddle for breaking in youngstock as it will not add excessive weight on the horses back which is vital when teaching to take a saddle.

It is comfortable over long periods, especially if you're out enjoying the countryside or endurance riding perhaps. The saddle has some amount of give when worn in and due to being synthetic it remains relatively comfortable in comparison to some other leather saddles which need regular reflocking.

My downside to this saddle is that it is built very generically and doesn't necessarily support all types of shape when fitting a horse, there is a level of adjustability with the gullet however again changing the gullet perhaps doesn't always mean that it would fit a horse with quite forward cut shoulders and a high wither.

In my opinion the overall feel of the saddle is very useful for a lot of disciplines, events and fun rides. It is durable, light weight and inexpensive for the years you get out of it and it is easily cleaned, adjusted and repaired in comparison.

"Leather saddles need regular reflocking" .. was that comment a joke? I had a Wintec for breaking in ponies and another to save my young daughter having to keep cleaning her leather saddles. Due to the cheap quality, I seemed to be forever having one or other restuffed. While my leather saddles would go for many years.
