    Let me start off by saying that I hate racing games. But Wipeout is so distinct from any other racing experience that I am a huge fan and therefore a hypocrite. Wipeout uses space ships instead of cars and moves at a faster pace than any other racing game (even burnout). This takes a while to get used to but eventually you get there. There's different speed settings to get yourself used to the game (I still can't play on phantom and struggle on rapier).
