Witch hazel is a natural plant extract that is the main soothing ingredient in 'Witch' facial skin care products.
The botanical name for witch hazel is 'hamamelis virginiana,' taken from the Greek words for 'fruits' and 'together.' as the actual witch hazel treatment is formed from the fruit and the flower as an effective calming and soothing agent.
This fruit and flower combination grows naturally on the roadsides amongst ...

Which Witch Review ofWitch Exfoliating Face Washby

Advantages: Cleans, exfoliates Disadvantages: Not for daily use on sensitive skin
...products one of which is Witch Exfoliating Face Wash, promising "effective deep pore cleansing" thanks to it's "active micro-granules" added vitamin E and anti-bacterial properties it's a product you'd believe would leave your face feeling clean and fresh. The product itself comes in a 150ml aqua coloured squeezy tube, with the classic flat flip lid allowing the product to be stored as it would be dispensed, gravity helping the product make it's ... ...week due to the natural witch hazel within the product being a possible irritant for delicate skin.
The product is quite pleasant to use and the exfoliating granules are surprisingly gentle on the skin, I had imagined they would feel quite rough as I was applying the product but while you are aware that they are present you don't feel any discomfort as you work the product into your skin. Rinsing the product off and avoiding the eye area can prove ...

Advantages: Effective, Easy to Obtain, Mild Fragrance Disadvantages: Sticky Consistancy, Could use more Exfoliant Granules
...it but stumbling across this Witch efoliating face wash I decided that witch hazel and vitamin E might just be the ingredients my poor skin needed.
This Witch face wash is very thick and gloopy; when I first squeezed it into my hand I actually double checked the bottle to make sure it was definetely a face wash and not a face mask! It's a lot thicker than any of the other face washes I've tried in my time and I suppose I could liken it's consistancy ... ...mild and pleasant like soapy witch hazel (unsurprisingly) and it felt very cool on my skin. It was difficult to massage in and I wasn't convinced it was really doing anything for me. Normally when you wash with an effective exfoliator you can feel the granules on your face which is how you know they're actually doing something. But with this Witch face wash I couldn't feel the exfoliating granules through the thick gel. Rinsing my face off was really ...

Scrub-a-dub dub! Review ofWitch Exfoliating Face Washby

Advantages: Refreshed, clean skin! Disadvantages: An occasionally clogged lid.
...eye. One fateful day, the Witch brand and Exfoliating Face Wash caught my eye. It had just been released so was on a *special offer* - I took the plunge! I suffer with the infamous T-Zone where oil and spots tend to sprout on my forehead, nose and chin – how delightful! I haven’t look back since using Witch and I mean that with the utmost sincerity; I have always hoped to find a brand that I would turn to again and again. I spent a number of youthful ... ...Vitamin E…pure skin refreshment…with natural witch hazel to leave your skin feeling sensationally clear, refreshed and healthy looking.’ It aims to achieve this through an ‘effective exfoliating action to cleanse pores, remove dead skin cells and wash away oil’ as well as with added ‘Vitamin E and other conditioners to leave your skin smooth.’ You can certainly feel all of these things working as you massage the product onto your wet skin of course, ...

Advantages: Gentle exfoliator, effective at controlling spots and blackheads Disadvantages: Difficult to wash off
...skin and have been using witch products now for years. I have to say they are the only face washes that work for me. The exfoliating face wash is by absolute favorite for a number of reasons:
It is mild enough not to irritate or dry my sensitive skin yet it still manages to remove all traces of dirt and stubborn make-up. The exfoliating beads are very effective at reducing and preventing blackheads and at evening out skin tone and texture. Witch ... ...my experience this has significantly helped to reduce my acne. It also has a really sublte pleasant aroma which is really important for something that is going to be that close to your nose for a period of time.
Another huge plus point for this face wash how easily obtainable and cheap it is, and that a little goes an extremely long way; I only tend to use a peanut sized blob and a tube lasts me a couple of months.
The only problem I can think ...

...and healthy looking.’ My skin does feel clean, soft and revitalised after use; it is almost luxurious to work the gentle foam across your skin of course ‘avoiding the delicate eye area.’ Pleasant as it might be, I would characterise it as an ‘on skin’ rather than ‘deep down’ skin experience. I would recommend the WitchExfoliatingFaceWash for an intense rendezvous!
For best results, it recommends that you ‘use twice daily.’ It is certainly gentle enough for this; I use once in the morning and once in the evening before I turn in! I am sure it would be suitable for those with delicate skin although, ‘as with all skincare products, use with caution on sensitive skin.’
The Foaming FaceWash is available more readily in chemists than other products in the Witch range. Boots and Superdrug here in the UK have always had it in stock when my...

Advantages: cheap, easy and it works Disadvantages: none
...Well the other night was my night set aside to pamper myself. Unfortunately this month I am a little bit broke (having been off sick from work the month before so my bonus was not up to its usual standards) so I had to look for the cheaper way to get a facial. And thanks to Boots I found it.
For £2.99 I got the Boots Mini Facial Kit with Tea Tree and Witch Hazel. For £2.99 you get a sachet of exfoliatingfacewash, face mask and night treatment gel along with instructions on how to get the best results. This is all contained in a rectangular white box with green writing on the sides telling us it is Tea Tree and Witch Hazel. As I had this to the product listing it is fairly new, in fact I believe it is a whole new Tea Tree and Witch Hazel range from Boots as there are other products in similar style packaging and I have never seen...
