We’ve all seen the ads, haven’t we? A few young girls with glowing skin, thanks to good old Witch products. Apparently, they were a right mess before using this, so if it worked for them… it just might work for me!
The bottle. Nothing spectacular here, but I didn’t buy it to look pretty on the bathroom shelf, did I? It says ‘Witch’ in large letters, the ‘t’ looking like a tree. It’s white and green (If I’m wrong, I’m sorry but I’m a bit colour blind!) On the back it says- “With the cleansing properties of natural witch hazel and a concentrated anti-bacterial ingredient, cleans thoroughly deep down to wash away excess oil, dirt and dead skin cells. Helps unblock pores, which can lead to spots and other blemishes. Leaves skin feeling tingly clean, refreshed and healthy looking”.
Now, what makes me laugh out loud about that, is it goes on, blah blah de blah, about witch hazel, yet, if you look at the ingredients list, there are tons of chemicals, but it only contains 10% distilled witch hazel! And as for the ‘Skin feeling tingly clean’ more like tingly agony! I cannot remember the price (Sorry) but you get 150ml in the bottle. If you shake the bottle, it contains liquid, but it dispenses the face wash as foam.
Okay, to use it, pretty simple really! First you must wet your face a bit, and then shake the bottle. It is a pump action bottle, which dispenses foam. You then massage the foam into your skin, then rinse and pat face dry. You are advised to do this twice a day, presumably morning and before beddy byes! But, sadly, all this foam did was badly dry out my skin. Apparently, this is suitable for sensitive skin, but it completely ruined my poor skin :-( my face was like it was on fire! I was all red and blotch, and sore. I only used this once, and trust me; the experience was one not to be repeated in a hurry! Lol!
All in all, this was very disappointing. After all the adverts claiming it to banish bad skin days, I’d say I’ve never had such a sore face in my life!
The only positive comment I can make about this product, it that thankfully, no little animals suffered in making neither this nor the nasty ingredients.

Advantages: No problem for sensitive skin, like the foam, not tested on animals Disadvantages: Not a particularly strong cleanser, doesn't have much witch hazel in it, faint anti-bacterial smell
...I reluctantly purchased my first Witch product: "Witch Foaming Face Wash". I had read relatively good reviews on products from the Witch range before and it seemed the perfect answer to problem teenage skin.
One quick push of the top releases a golf-ball sized mass of bubbling white foam which is then easy to massage into your face. It smells lovely but there's a faint trace of that anti-bacterial smell which I personally dislike. However this could ... ...The main selling point of Witch products seems to be the natural Witch hazel they contain, but on looking at the ingredients distilled witch hazel only counts for 10%. This is a disappointment if you are looking for an honestly organic product.
***VITAL STATISTICS***
Personally, I think the packaging is quite attractive; it's a lovely pale shade of turquoise combined with a creamy white and the distinctive Witch logo (the 'T' being a branch of ...

Advantages: no animals suffered, really does foam up, leaves skin feeling clean, good value for money Disadvantages: quite a plain bottle
...that this product uses natural witch hazel, which I think is meant to be good for spots (correct me if I'm wrong!)
This product has a nice fresh smell and helps you wake up first thing! The product is a liquid inside the bottle but comes out as a foam which is quite cool. I found that you only really need one squirt each time you wash your face so the product does tend to last a long time.
150ml costs £3:99 at Boots and although I bought this product ... ...lot left so I would say it was good value for money. However I only tend to use the product once a day so like everything it is dependant on the amount of times you use it etc.
This product aims to clean throughly while washing away excess oil and dirt which in turn unblocks pores. To be honest I dont really suffer from spots or greasy skin but I did find that my face felt a lot fresher after washing it and in turn this is good for your confidence! ...

...pricey side.
I saw Witch foaming Facial wash first on offer in Superdrug, at the time it was in a Pale green and white bottle with a large pump at the top. As I have fond memories of Witch Hazel gel soothing my nettle stings as a child, and it being half-price, which perfectly suited my budget at the time, I decided to give it a try and have been hooked ever since.

Advantages: A fresh, clean face! Disadvantages: None.
...that the charm of natural witch hazel invited my Mum to purchase Witch’s Foaming Face Wash. To this day I suffer with the evils of combination skin also known as (drum roll please) ‘the T-Zone.’ Since using this product, my skin has improved: fewer blemishes and consequently a more even complexion. However, I am still prone to the odd bad patch; brought on by the stress of exams and overdue assignments! As well as the effects of the womanly cycle ... ...experience. I would recommend the Witch Exfoliating Face Wash for an intense rendezvous!
For best results, it recommends that you ‘use twice daily.’ It is certainly gentle enough for this; I use once in the morning and once in the evening before I turn in! I am sure it would be suitable for those with delicate skin although, ‘as with all skincare products, use with caution on sensitive skin.’ The Foaming Face Wash is available more readily in chemists ...

Advantages: Pump action dispenser Disadvantages: The price may be too expensive for some people
priced in the range of £3.00 to £4.00. Tee particular product I am reviewing the Boots tea tree and witch hazel foamingfacewash was priced individual at £3.49 which for the size of the bottle and the amount your use is very good and worth the money if you buy it on its own however I would advise that you get another product as you are getting a £3.50 product for £1.50 really.
I chose the Foamingfacewash over other products because the style of the product packaging appealed to me. The foamingfacewash comes in a see through plastic bottle with green and blue writing displaying the name. It also has a pump action disperser; it is this pump action that attracted me to the product. My aunt regularly told me that products that have a pump action disperser last longer as you can monitor exactly how much of the product you want to use ...
Advantages: clears up blemishes, makes skin more radiant, inexpensive Disadvantages: none
Just a quick overview, the product is a twice-daily facial cleanser, marketed towards those who have oily or combination skin. It is sold in a 150ml bottle and costs £2.99.
WHY I BOUGHT IT
I was wandering around Boots with my mom, looking for a birthday present for a friend. After we found her present, we decided to have a browse round to look for, well, anything really. We were walking through the skincare section when we came across the Tea Tree and Witch Hazel range. Having spent the previous 10 minutes or so looking at the Clarins and Clinique ranges, we were instantly drawn to favour this range due to the ever so slightly lower prices. We decided to buy the cleanser because of the low price and the method of dispensing. I had a cleanser a couple of years ago dispensed in the same way (liquid to foam) and loved using it (so much ...
Advantages: bottle last for ages, good for your skin, makes it healthy, clean and soft Disadvantages: it sometimes makes my skin feel a little tight for a while
I spent about four pounds on this. Its very good stuff. When you squeeze it out the bottle it turns into foam so it lasts for ages. When you wash it off your skin looks so healthy and feels so soft. It is also very gentle so if you have dry skin like me it is not too rough. The only problem I have is it can make your skin a little tight but it doesnt really matter. If you dont no what facewash to buy, i would reccomend this. It is very good. You can buy it at boots and there are many other products with teatree and witch hazel in them like there is a spot stick, moisturers, shine control, night cream, etc. ...
