    Advantages Advantages Plenty of courses

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very poor customer services indeed

I am a part-time student at the University of Wolverhampton. For anyone thinking of taking a course here then I can totally recommend it. There is so much choice in what to do and how to get there in your chosen subject area. The University has several sites dotted around with a shuttle service linking the sites. It is reliable and runs a late night service at the weekend during term so if you are out partying you know you can get back home ok :) The University (Main Site) is based in the town centre and is convenient to shops, pubs, food outlets, cinemas, theatre & arts, etc. The site also ... more

Advantages Advantages lots of course to chose from

    Disadvantages Disadvantages not very organised

I have just found out I have got more money from the Premium fund so I have decided to celebrate by writing another opinion. I thought it was about time that I write an opinion on beloved university. I am in my second year studying marketing and drama. When I first looked around this university I liked it. It was near to the town centre and the halls looked great. Also it did the course I wanted to do as most universities didn’t. When I got here in September 99 my views didn’t change. For a few weeks I really liked the place. Soon though the novelty wore off and I began to hate it ... more

Advantages Advantages No consideration for the hard work done by students

Disadvantages Disadvantages No recognition at the end of the degree!

I will begin this opinion with a word or two of caution. It is about one specific aspect of the Wolverhampton University as opposed to a reasoned overview of their syllabus and courses. For this information you can log on to www.wlv.ac.uk which will give you al the information you need. Please note as well that my low rating of the University is based on this incident as well. My opinion actually takes the form of a bit of a rant against the University in respect of their behaviour towards my partner Dave, who is studying for a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems. He is ... more

Advantages Advantages Big student population, cheap housing

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bit ugly, not the best reputation amongst employers

Please remember to rate the review please I’ve got to say I don’t know why I went to this Uni. I did really badly at my A Levels, this was back in the days before everyone had the internet and you could crib all your course work! Just joking everybody under 23! No, I discovered booze, birds and other things I won’t mention here and good A-Level results was at back of the agenda. Don’t get me wrong I don’t regret my College years, they were some of the best years of my life. Before I signed up for 4 years in Wolves I went down to the University to check it out ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to get to in Wolverhampton, small campus

Disadvantages Disadvantages STatus of Degree/qualification, away from main campus

I went to Wolverhampton University in 1995 to do a Masters in Business administration, at the Compton Park centre. I was a mature student on a full time course and I was surprised to find only two UK nationals on the course. During the course I asceratined that the Part-Time course was mainly filled with students from local companies, making their own way, or sponsored by their employer. I enjoyed the course but felt that many of our course were disadvantaged because several topics related to UK companies, and there was some language difficulties. Having since then spoken to others who have ... more
