Wolves are sh*t!

Advantages: Club with a great history on the up
Disadvantages: Relegation?

With Carson Yueng's purchase of Birmingham City ten Premier League chairman are now foreign and so could effectively close the premiership down by starting their own league elsewhere, or at least take premiership games abroad. If you don't think that will happen then think again. Last Sunday a regular season NFL football match took place between The New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers some 6000 miles away from their home grounds here ...
...Patriots fans get just 8 home games a year in the regular season then it's a big chunk out of their season ticket. But over in the US the league is a franchise and if the fans complain too much then the team moves cities with their new host more than willing to accommodate them with huge tax breaks and open arms. There have been 15 team relocations there in the last thirty years. That is what I fear will happen here one day soon, no reason at all ... more

Old Gold

Advantages: Good chance for several players to prove themselves, not a lot to lose and some good players who could enjoy the Premiership
Disadvantages: Have not got the squad to really compete, lacks real quality and has several weaknesses

Last year saw Wolves get promotion to the Premiership via the playoffs, returning to the top division, somewhere they were used to playing in regularly not so long ago. Their long, proud history counts for nothing so far, as two humiliating defeats at Charlton and Blackburn showed them up. Still rooted to the bottom of the table with just one point from five games and a goal difference of –11 things may look slightly worse in the light of day. Wolverhampton ...
...that got them into the Premiership and a few new players for their first campaign. Much of their promotion drive was centred on a few key players. Paul Ince and Denis Irwin provided the experience last season, and have both agreed to play on one more year for Wolves. Their experience with Manchester United and other top sides will be a big plus for Wolves, to keep their heads in the tough games and situations plus bringing on the younger squad members. ...

What do they have to do

Advantages: Well always be legends
Disadvantages: You can't live on the past

Being a Wolves fan can be quite frustrating. That statement doesn't even come close to the relentless hell that we Wolves supporters have had to endure for the last twenty years. By anyones recognition, Wolverhampton Wanderer's are a massive club with an incredible history. A club that in previous years has been littered with success and honours. A shirt that is famous the world over, you could go on and on about Wolves past but unfortunately it ...
...not rebuilding, since the demise of the club in the mid-eighties to it's lowest low at the bottom of the fourth division; the club has slowly rebuilt itself. After being bought for £20,000 back then and several sales later, the club started to produce a few heroes and surge back up the league. With players like Bull, Mutch, Thompson and Dennison, Wolves were promoted twice and the glory days looked to be once again back on track. The optimism that ...

Wolverhampton has a P in it

Advantages: My team and always will be
Disadvantages: First Division hell!!!

Well, I was feeling negative too, but anyone who witnessed our crusing defeat of W**t B**m has to feel optomistic. Wolves are a bit like England - you know the potential is there, but we just can't find the right combination. Flashes of brilliance are shown, but its not consistent. Let's hope with Dave Jones and Sven Goran-Ericksson both teams have found the man to do just that. I just hope we get things right pre-season, and don't sell off the ...
...well pack up and go home. They are our future! Along with Butler, Dinning, even old man Sinton and Pollet, it looks like we might be challenging next year, minus injuries. I just hope Jones knows how to find the right combination. But at least we beat Sandwell, and if they don't go up, the season won't have been a dead loss! Let's hope the board gives Jones some time to get it right - at least 5 years (witness Leeds, Liverpool, Ipswich) and let's ...

Right Man Too Late

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

As a loyal Wolves supporter I have been frustrated like many others at the lack of success the club has endured through recent times. So much money has been invested into bringing players into the club but needless to say money does not always buy success. It is in my opinion that we finally have a manager who understands this and given a season or two will take Wolverhampton Wanderers back where thay belong, in the premier league. Initially, when ...
...had to make his own funds. Working with a tight budget he bought in quality players like Michael Branch and Ludovic Pollet, players who are far better and adaptable than other players brought in by previous managers. When large amounts of money has been at his disposale, like from the sales of Robbie Keane and Ade Akinbyi, he has spent wisely and not reverted to has beens or multi million pound potentials. Keep up the good work Colin, lets hope the ...

Wolves will go up.... one day

Advantages: Wolves have got a great team and a good manager now.
Disadvantages: We never go up

Don't ask me why i love wolverhampton wanderers i just do. I supported them for all my life ( I am only 14 ) and 13 years of that have been spent in division 1 or division 2 as it was known back then. 1988 - present day and yes wolves are the only team currently in division to have been in the division so long. Other non movers include portsmouth and our rivals west brom. I know you might think that makes us a boring but we have had some near misses ...
...of these days we are going to get it right and go up. It may be next year it may be ten years down the line, but we will go up and i'm pretty confident a team like wolves will stay up. With wolves there's no such thing as a sure win but that's probably why i love them. ...
