Woman and Home

Woman and Home I occasionally buy this magazine, but really only tend to read it on a regular basis when waiting for treatment at my local hospital. It is a glossy magazine but with a down to earth approach to modern life. It tries to emulate publications such as Marie Claire, but is aimed for family or married women, instead of just professional females. I have never bought this magazine before but it has just launched a new handbag-sized edition and I was travelling so thought I would give it a try. To begin with I liked the fact that it had a 'real woman' on the cover. A likeable breakfast TV celebrity who is not a size zero but who looked great in a glamorous dress. That seems to sum up the Woman & Home approach - glamorous but realistic lifestyles for women in their thirties upwards.
