    Advantages Advantages Catering for women as people!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Adverts asking women to expire beyond most's means

    Woman and Home I occasionally buy this magazine, but really only tend to read it on a regular basis when waiting for treatment at my local hospital. It is a glossy magazine but with a down to earth approach to modern life. It tries to emulate publications such as Marie Claire, but is aimed for family or married women, instead of just professional females. Woman and home is a monthly magazine, costing £2.60 for 162 pages of information, articles, adverts and woman’s issues.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Not as glamourous or escapist as some other women's magazines

    I have never bought this magazine before but it has just launched a new handbag-sized edition and I was travelling so thought I would give it a try. To begin with I liked the fact that it had a 'real woman' on the cover. A likeable breakfast TV celebrity who is not a size zero but who looked great in a glamorous dress. That seems to sum up the Woman & Home approach - glamorous but realistic lifestyles for women in their thirties upwards.
