Hello, Are You OK?

Advantages: Has everything to satisfy a gossip.
Disadvantages: Perhaps makes celebrities out of non-celebrities

...wrote my first opinion on OK Magazine during my previous incarnation on Ciao as mrpaella. I still buy the magazine from time to time. The cost is GBP 2.95 and there are 4 magazines in one. MADELEINE OK Magazine is a sister publication to the Daily Express newspaper. The Express has recently been running a few front page headlines about the missing toddler Madeleine McCann. I just want to give my tuppence worth of thoughts on the subject. First ...
...Jade Goody's fight against cancer. OK Magazine did a magnificent job in covering her story. I purchased several copies and the journalism was very good. OK Magazine even brought out an in memoriam issue on Jade before she had passed away. Sky News covered Jade's funeral. The programme was brilliantly hosted by the gorgeous Lorna Dunkley. Whenever she appears on Sky News, I just want to kiss the TV screen! Jade Goody made her name on the Big Brother ...

Grazia - For Those Who Care What Celebs Are Up To!

Advantages: Not snobby, some good articles.
Disadvantages: Could read it very quickly.

GRAZIA MAGAZINE For the purposes of this review I have read the issue dated 9th March. ***What's it like?*** This magazine is aimed at women and consists of 115 pages, with lots of adverts thrown in. Although there are lots of ads, instead of just Prasda there are some that are in reach of the ordinary consumer, such as TK Max and Aptamil etc. It doesn't appear overly snobby. It has a glossy front cover (this one is graced with Jennifer Aniston), ...

Red Magazine - well worth the money

Advantages: Interesting articles that women want to read
Disadvantages: None

I have been reading Red magazine since March when it was recommended to me by a friend. She is a bit older than me and already married with children, where as I am not. I thought it would be a bit out of my age range, but I bought it anyway and really enjoyed it. I couldn't put it down. Each month there is a celebrity interview, and this is not like the normal celeb interview you find, but it is conducted in a relaxed environment and the write up ...
...a range of products for Red readers to purchase. Red prides itself on including real women in the magazine and often has articles from readers whose lives have changed someway. There are also minor celebrities and authors talking about their home lives, or what has inspired them - it changes each month. Other sections include 'Red Hot' where films, TV shows and books are reviewed, 'Red Beauty' where the hottest beauty products are reviewed and tips ...

ELLE? a magazine to love!

Advantages: Reviews are good, great for fashion lovers, advertisements well placed, EXELLENT!
Disadvantages: Too much writing sometimes

ELLE is a magazine for the fashion lovers, not always the stick thin models, but for everyone, they offer magazines for each season about high street bargains etc. The advertisements are placed well in all of the magazines, as to not interrupt the article. Elle is a magazine for the fashion society, for the people who may be ambitious to be a model (I’m one of them!) and people who love reading about celebrities. It is a mixture of a lot of things ...

Cosmopolitan: Celebs, Men and Fashion

Advantages: Great read, glossy pages, lots of celeb gossip and real life advice
Disadvantages: More expensive than your regular girlie mag

I buy Cosmopolitan monthly, and as a 20 year old female, it has exactly the sort of stuff I want to read in it. A celebrity usually embraces the front page, with an interview in the first half of the magazine. The female celeb they pic is always inspiring in some way, either having beaten a disease, or how they made their way into showbiz in a testosterone-ruled world, or how they got through a difficult break up, etc, and all of them offer some ...
...thing. There are also plenty more celebrity features, such as celebritity features, celeb dating, celeb gossip, etc! But what I like about Cosmo is that it focuses on real life as well. There's loads of relationship, men, and sex advice which takes up a huge chunk of the magazine and is really interesting to read. The layout of the mag is simple, with lots of bright colours, and it's easy to read as opposed to some other magazines where there's things ...
