Advantages: compelling insight into child killers Disadvantages: pulls at the heart strings!
The subject of death and murder is in itself something we have to stomach but the deaths of children and children whokill, well that is something else we have to deal with inside our hearts and souls, children whokill is a fascinating insight into just a fraction of the murders commited by children, some against other children , some against adults, carolanndavies is a renowned author of many a book, each as succesful as the other, this book contains murders of a nature that as a society , we tend to block out, the murder of james bulger being one of them, there are over 15 stories in the book, each tale is laid out in a format that is easy to take in and also makes it easier to read, it starts with the tale then why? then a conclusion. bear in mind you will have to have a strong stomach due to some of the stories inside the book ...
Advantages: good overview of serial killers Disadvantages: lacking in detail
WomenwhoKill - written by CarolAnneDavis (also author of Children whoKill) profiles 13 female serial killers from Aileen Wuornos (who was later profiled in the film Monster) through to Rose West in what is an interesting yet disturbing read.

Advantages: Serial killers aren't freaks in another country, they're often the people next door, and that's a terifying notion... Disadvantages: See 'Advantages'. It is a terrifying notion, and you might want to pretend you never thought it...

David is a sadist with a double life. Educated and well meaning, determined not to make the mistakes his abusive father made with him, he is devoted to his wife and infant son. Yet he has a secret, a Secret House to go to, where his women are fantasies, and the fantasies are dark. As time goes by, and more girls vanish from the streets of Edinburgh, his wife Jennifer, meek and timid, concludes that her brilliant husband is not all he seems…
Within these pages, you will find no larger-than-life Hannibal Lector figure, embodying pure evil, vile and disturbed to outrageous degrees. A large part of the genius in the work of CarolAnneDavis is that everyone, twisted ...
