I have only just this minute returned from Big W or should I say Woolworths. I picked up a number of items before heading to the till as I walked closer I walked past a rather lovely display and when catching it in my eye I suddenly turned to see what it was. There before was a small but sweet display of Wonka chocolates and sweets. I instantly looked picked up a small chocolate bar and took it to the till along with the rest of my items. Eventually I arrived home and took out the Wonka bar from the carrier bag and observed. The chocolate bar had a rather unusual name, Whippie Scrumptious ... more

Advantages Advantages can be nice in small doses

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can get too sickly.

Launched to coincide with the much awaited Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film (released on 17 July) Willy Wonka's delightful Wonka bars have been deliciously brought to life. The Wonka Golden Ticket Chocolate Bar are nice treats that my husband and I enjoy chomping on from time to time. With the added bonus that we may just a win trip to a chocolate factory in America, as if!!! These bars are made by Nestle. Wonka bars are featured in the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and are a Nestle limited edition that will only be available for a few months. One thing that has left me curious ... more

    Advantages Advantages It's chocolate

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pricey and a bit sickly.

Right get ready to gasp, you are about to read something you never thought you would. I love chocolate, I've always loved chocolate, and I thought I always would love chocolate................that was until today. Today I burst the bank and paid £1.47 for three supposedly brilliant chocolate bars of the WONKA variety. That makes each bar 49p for the mathematically challenged. They are well presented in the three colour wrappers in which they came. The words Wonka is surprisingly emblazoned across the front of each bar in Funky white coloured letters. Each bar consists of 5 squares of chocolate ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very Yummy Chocolate!

Disadvantages Disadvantages No Golden Ticket for me!

‘Cause I’ve got a golden ticket, I’ve got a golden chance to make my way, And with a golden ticket, It’s a golden day!!! Every time I open one of these Wonka golden ticket chocolate bars I wish I could suddenly leap up and start singing around the room with my granddad! Oh well, no such luck yet, I’ll have to keep trying. Still at 40p from our vending machine at school, I think they are especially good value. Background to bar ----------------- The Wonka Golden Ticket Chocolate bar is produced by Nestle, and is obviously a spin off from the famous Roald Dahl story ... more

    Advantages Advantages You might win

    Disadvantages Disadvantages You probably won't

It had to happen, didn't it? I'm only surprised that it's taken so long, although a friend tells me they've been around for quite some time before I spotted them a month ago. They, I should explain, are Wonka chocolate bars. Remember the book, 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'? Remember the film, 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory?' Two of the finest pieces of entertainment ever produced for children and adults alike? In case you don't, a quick synopsis: The Wonka chocolate factory is famous throughout the world and produces the very best chocolate. They run a competition whereby five ... more
