I thought I had just had bad experiences with ordering from Woods, but I am obvious not the first, The first order, about a year ago, was cancelled by me after I rang up to ask about delivery three weeks after order to be told that the good were out of stock and they had not had the courtesy to inform me.
I submitted a new order online on 5th May. Given the problems last time, I called a week later to be told that the goods were in stock and there were no problems. The following week, when I rang, having received nothing, I was told that they had been shipped and would take 8-10d ays to be delivered - fabulous delivery service 10 days later I called again, to be told that they did not say 8-10 days, they said 10-14 days and that the goods were in transit and hence the order could not be cancelled when I asked. I made it very clear that when they do arrive (if ever), I would be returning them. I even spoke to a "Manager" woman, but got short shrift. They kept trying to explain that they had moved warehouses, and an apology for late delivery was on their web-site - as if anyone would bother checking that (I eventually found a fairly insincere apology on a deliveries page, not the Home Page. When I suggested an email to explain the delays, I was told that was impossible "as they do not know who has ordered what" and they have over a million customers in their database (I wonder how many are satisfied customers?)
This company have no concept of Customer Relations nor supporting an online service. Having now read the other comments, most of which are scathing to say the least, I currently have no evidence of criminal behavior nor difficulty getting money back. Watch this space!
