I changed my Worcester 24 combi for their best of breed GreenStar 30cdi. Can't say that I've noticed any difference. The new one was supposed to heat faster but, if it does, it's only slight. Too early to say how much less gas is used, except that the difference is small (perhaps the house is just warmer - but I don't think so).
The user guide proclaims that "Excellence comes as standard" but I'm afraid that's absolute b*ll*cks! The instructions are full of errors and the controls are rubbish.
I could have saved over £1000 by having a Potterton instead (same spec). I'd suggest that anyone thinking of Worcester Bosch thinks again. It'd take years to make up the difference in savings and I don't expect this to last 10 years.
The user instructions are pathetic. The user interface is a joke, certainly not excellent. Worcester Bosch just ingore my letters. I can only imagine that this is a fair reflection of their interest in customer support.

Advantages: pumps heat out, when the thermostat isnt fault which is often Disadvantages: two new thermostats within three months of new- can't be coincidence
